Re: Open BVE
Well I just don't seem to have the first clue about how to actually make it work. I've read through TSC forums too without solving any problems. Do I just copy the compatible Northern Line files into the objects folder of the route that's installed under BVE 4, then run it from Open BVE?

Re: Open BVE
Yes I've done that part already and I get as far as the menu screen loading. The issue I have now is figuring out how to make the Northern Line compatable. Been trying to sort it out all evening with an unfortunate lack of success

Re: Open BVE
I still get the "openBVE has stopped working" when I run the exe. Having read the forum and still not fixed it, can someone tell me if I need anything else prior to installation? Are the dlls that the programs readme file list in the same folder because can't see any of them. This doesn't require a ...

Re: what resolution do you run MSTS in?
Running on 1600x1200 which I believe is the maximum allowed on MSTS since my monitor has a native resolution of 1900x1200. Running on maximum display so just ask if you want any screenies

Creating new starting points
After doing a search on the forum I decided to create this post. Is there any way to create new starting points within a route? For example, I'm trying to start MSTS at Epsom on DC v5 but its not on the drop down menu and I'm half convinced it can be done one way or another.
Thanks in advance

Re: Great Eastern Order
Sounds great. Do they look as they do in real life (colour etc) or are they of a generic design (like in Dorset Coast)? May I make a polite request to see what it looks like next time someone is on the route and has the time to upload a picture. I've read alot of reviews and seen other pictures but ...

Great Eastern Order
Hi everyone, I've just ordered Great Eastern (finally!) from the CD ordering page. Now I know some wont understand why I'd be so interested in such a small feature compared to the entire route but I really want to know.....do the platforms have the car stop signs?? I have an unhealthy obsession with...

Re: Dorset Coast Version 5
Wow didn't even know you were planning v6, Dave. Also, I noticed on your profile you're an engineer?? What company do you work for because I need to make a list of the potential places I'd like to do my engineering degree placement year. Don't worry if you'd rather not discuss it. Anyway about v6......

Re: Great Eastern and Dorset Coast
I'm guessing its just resource intensive up the London end? I seem to run 90%+ of Dorset Coast without my system having to judder so this shouldn't be too much of a problem. I guess everyone here has twisted my arm and I'll have to buy it now! Rolling stock doesn't come with passenger views, does it...

Re: Great Eastern and Dorset Coast
What does CSR mean? Would be nice to drive the 321 as I *think* that's the first EMU I ever went on whilst visiting my uncle in London. Was a service into London Euston and we got on from one of the Harrow stations...I could be wrong but I know the front of the 321 looks incredibly familar! Ah yes w...

Re: Great Eastern and Dorset Coast
Living in Guildford whilst I'm at university otherwise my home home is in Canterbury so I'm interested in anything south of London but GE has been slowly luring me in. I have LSE but I don't use it as often as it isnt set in the present day and just seems really gloomy if you know what I mean?

Great Eastern and Dorset Coast
Hi everyone, I've read endless endless reviews and things on the forum about Great Eastern being the best thing thats ever happened to MSTS and it takes alot to get me to buy a route that I've never really been on in real life. Assuming alot who read this have the route, can someone tell me how it c...

Re: Average FPS?
Yeah it is weird which is why I don't believe the recommended specifications because I'm guessing recommended is based on something like medium settings. Don't think FSX's marketability would have been successful if the specs said 4GB RAM, GeForce 8800GTX and a quad core processor! Well after seeing...

Re: Average FPS?
Well lets use a comparison...would the users of KRS give us a general thumbs up on expected performance if one can run FSX on their system with high graphics settings? I'm running FSX at 1024x768 in most large cities and 1280x1024 in the countryside and have anti-aliasing disabled and traffic set to...

Re: Dorset Coast V5
Wow looking great already as expected! I think I'm actually in love with you Dave. Where would we be without you? An MT Desiro pack would now be the cherry on top of a very fine cake
