Re: Freight/Long trains fly forward when releasing brakes..
I'm pretty sure it's wagon-dependent (loose couplings make it worse I suspect). When I last came across it I proved that you could actually use it to make the train accelerate - i.e. perpetual motion... Yeah. Driving heavy trains appeals to be because of the wagons pushing you forward when going do...

Thanks for this Dave. It's been bothering me for yonks.
Do you think it's okay to distribute a fixed .bin file to make it easier for people to install? I know it's not your creation (or is it? :p) And the original author isn't active anymore..

Re: Making headlights light up the track..
I thought I was going to watch that video and accept the 360 is fine! But in the video you can see quite a distance up the track the lights are lighting something! The opposite to the TS 360 which seems to light up a sign directly under your cab window. In the video it appears the light projects qui...

Re: Making headlights light up the track..
There is a thread somewhere on here about headlights and I remember someone saying that some of the earlier trains didn't have headlights as such but lights at the front that just put out a beam of light out a couple of feet in front of the train, as the driver actually doesn't need to see where he...

Making headlights light up the track..
Most of the stock appears to emit some light to your surroundings.. However the Class 360 seems to have useless headlights. The track it lights up is right underneath your window so is of no use to you at all. Look at this screenshot. Night headlights are on.. Pitch black. http://i40.tinypic.com/20p...

Re: Freight/Long trains fly forward when releasing brakes..
It's a mix of FTA/FSA's and FEA, as in real life. These are wagons that came with the Class 66 Freightliner V2 and Class 66 Powerhaul. It doesn't tend to happen on an uphill for obvious reasons but can get it on the level. Can I put that value in both wagons? For testing I'd recommend that you copy...

Re: Freight/Long trains fly forward when releasing brakes..
Hi, I have tried to reproduce it with a class 90 and 24 FEA-B and I have not been able to get a similar forward jump when releasing the brakes. Mind you, this was in a test route with only track, so it was more like laboratory conditions :) Incidently I have been recently trying to solve the uneven...

Re: Pennine Electrics Route
I had a bash at adding density settings to GEML. Set up one station before I realised that modifying the platform in anyway would reset your settings.. What an annoying feature!

Re: WIP Thread 9 - Anything New For RailWorks
That 90 looks good. Thanks. Just need to write an activity. Probably a 37 working from the other week, delivering the 90 to Crown point via GEML :). I'll have to post the screenshot as a link, due to it being of an odd aspect ratio, but it's the best I could be fussed with at the moment. File has b...

Re: Freight/Long trains fly forward when releasing brakes..
This is one that goes right back to Rail Simulator days in 2007. I remember trying to investigate it with Adam from RSC but unfortunately we never really got anywhere as there seemed to be no particular pattern. Very odd! Strange! It seems a rather important issue considering it's supposed to be a ...

Re: Crouch Valley 3 (GEML) released
I'm sticking to my version of RSC's GEML for time being.. Better/easier to create activities for until Crouch Valley has more markers and points you can jump to (I still don't know what these are called). David, have you got the new markers file? This really helps. [uktsfile 32209] No I haven't. I ...
