Hi spinemaligna, I guess it comes down to graphics setting or eye candy, some people will be happy to play games say in 800x600 with medium settings, other will want the full monty with graphic settings maxed out, like Nvidia's slogan......"How its meant to be played"refering to the speed of their card...

From what i can gather the R600 will pawn any 8800,and also earmarked for massive FPS gains using dx10.1,which by the way the G80 doesn't support

But saying that if i had that kind of cash,it would go on football & beer

Hi dfisher1, I agree that there is still some very good agp cards out there, which should run KRS with no problems at all,the more pipelines on it the faster it can handle the number crunching.I am aware that not every 1 can upgrade,or funds are limited as to what they can buy,1 pet hate is i dont li...

Hi Jon, Yeah i would love a 8800,its a nice card,it'l play KRS maxed out no problem.I just wanted to make the move from AGP to PCI X,that meant changing motherboard,RAM,graphics card without breaking the bank. Its a bit of a con really, todays high end,in 6 months it'l be mid range, something fa...

Re: DirectX 10

@jkxx74 I think you are misinformed, directX 9.0(c)will install on any xp OS,regardless, even if it is from CD,vista uses dx10 with a compatible video card, you can still use DX9 video card with vista, but you will not get the extra bells and whistles a dx10 video card has to offer using DX10. Microsoft...

@pgmetcalf66, Hi, Your processor seems ok,its your Graphics card thats gonna count when it comes down to it,anybody still running AGP will probably struggle unless its pretty new and has more than 12 pipelines on it.Thats the main reason i upgraded because most games now use ultra shadow technology,...
