Re: Requests for reference material
Hi Sly Glad to read that the Brit is making progress. I collect die-cast cars and buses and would recommend Corgi and Oxford Die Cast for reasonably priced models of cars in 1:43 scale. There are some really good models in OO scale now being produced by Oxford, Corgi (Original Omnibus Company), and ...

Re: Requests for reference material
Hi Sly
Not on your list but you may still be interested in this excellent site on the Ford E83W van. It would be a nice one to model.

How's the Brit coming along?

Re: DT Brake Van
There are three versions of this brake van - have you tried downloading all three - perhaps the missing texture is in one of those you may not have downloaded. I have all three and they work fine.

Re: RS Scenery Moderated Wishlist
Here are a couple of examples of signs I've created. I'm still a bit dubious though about releasing them because of copyright etc

Re: RS Scenery Moderated Wishlist
I've made some enamel advertising signs for my own use which I've place in various stations on a route I've been creating and they look really good and authentic. They are quite simple to make using Canvas. I'd be happy to release them but I'm not sure about copyright. Basically I've obtained my mat...

Re: Reskinning
I have the same problem and have tried all of the advice offered on the forums but to no avail. I'm really looking for a new solution to this old problem. I use PaintShop 7.

Repainting scenery objects
Help! I've tried to repaint a number of scenery objects but all I seem to get is a replica of the original item but with the new name I've given it. I copied the original folder into my own folder in Assets and I've then successfully repainted the TgPcDx file because when I reopen it in my own folde...

I use "Wet soil" texture to create sand - I think it is a good substitute.

Perhaps some of the unfair comments made about RS on this site should also have a 3+ rating. I could then avoid them before having to read them and focus on the positive aspects of the sim!!

Re: Repaints and DDS files
Thanks Sly but I still cant get it to work. Never mind I'll leave it for now and get back to it later. In PSP when I click on Image the "Delete Alpha Channel" link is greyed out in any event. Your ideas on grime layers sound really interesting and would be a big leap forward if you can get them to w...
