Child Objects
I'm quite experienced at attaching and positioning child objects to assets but I've hit upon a problem attaching one to a tender (a BR early logo which I've used before many times). I think I know the cause - from looking at the bin file no other child object exists in the base model so therefore th...

Re: Useful Mapping Resource
I find this site a brilliant source of detailed information, particularly station track layouts and for most eras. I use the enhanced zoom function in full screen for best results: http://www.old-maps.co.uk/maps.html It doesn't look particularly appealing when you first access the site but with some...

Re: Track Problem
Hello Phil Thanks for your help. It was the tracks.bin file as you suggested. I replaced it with the one from my back up and the problem has been fixed - phew!!. I'll still have to relay some track but the scenery is intact. So I'm relieved that what I thought was a major problem has been sorted. Th...

Track Problem
Help! I was extending my route as per usual by adding some more scenery and track and when I reopened the game later I found that this had happened to my track - buffers appearing where they were not there before, points disappearing and also many sections of track disappearing: http://www.atomic-al...

Re: LMS Ex LNWR 6w Stove R
Hello Gordon Thanks for sharing these with us! Unfortunately I can't get the two BR wagons into the game. They are both listed as available stock but when I click on either of them nothing happens. I've not downloaded the LNWR or LMS versions as my era is BR. Do I need to have these before the BR ve...

Re: Blueprint Editor won't open
Thanks Bob!
I searched and searched the forum for a solution so I can't understand how I missed it! I'm off out now so I'll work on this when I get back - I'll let you know how I get on.
Thanks again

Blueprint Editor won't open
When I try to open the blueprint editor, the icon appears in the taskbar, but the editor does not open. Using Task Manager to try and work out the problem I get an error message - 'Failed to read schema' with a path at the top of the box - C:\Windows\System32\Temp\BlueprintSchema.x...'. I've cleared...

Re: Everything Steam
Hello Brian I'm a big fan of your work on weathering locos which is very realistic and more appropriate to my era (the late 50's when most locos I saw were weathered). I hope you will be able to upload the 61XX to UKTS. Thanks for the ones you have released so far (Jinty and Class 2 Tank). Cheers Llew

Re: Annoying RW errors
I get similar errors related to fx files. I don't know what the cause is but I "verify integrity of game cache" in Steam and the problem goes away for a while but then comes back a few days later! I wish I knew what the cause is so that I can fix it!

Re: Repainting using Paint Shop Pro
Having converted the file with RW Tools I then open it up with a free programme called DXTBmp and then transfer the file from that programme (and back again) for editing in PSP. Might be a long-winded approach but it works well for me.

Re: WIP Thread 5 - Anything new for RailWorks
Kevin it's nice to see you back on the forum! Sorry to read that you have not been well. I think you are THE pioneer of top class freeware for Railworks and the inspiration for all the steam loco modellers out there so please continue your good work. My favourite is the Ivatt tank which I widely use...
