Trainstore error - No cabview
Hi, It is a warning and if you are only planning on running that activity then it can safely be ignored. I suspect that the message pops up because train store checks .eng files for a cab view but has no extra validation for the #AI versions (possibly because not everybody used the naming convention...

Re: Giving up the ghost
Hi, I've been running with the trainstore application installed in the c:\program files (x86) directory for years with no problems on Vista, W7 and 10 (app set to run as administrator in all cases). As long as the trainstore storage directory is outside of the windows protected area; I cannot see an...

Re: London, Tilbury & Southend Line Problem
Hi, I think I may know what your problem might be! As you're using explore mode; can I check what stock you're using and the path start/end points? I've just loaded up an explore with a Making Tracks Class 66 at Liverpool St heading towards Chelmsford (Both selections) and I start in a siding outsid...

Re: London, Tilbury & Southend Line Problem
Hi Chris, Just a thought that as you've started you were facing the buffers at Liverpool st; then you would need to use shift+G to switch the points behind you to avoid reversing into another siding. I tend to prefer activities as that way you get some AI trains appearing to enhance the realism. Che...

Re: OR Timetable Tutorial
Hi, I've solved the issue for myself (at least!) I popped into the MSTS activity editor and placed the 8 car 450 as a static consist in Platform 4B at Reading. The platform marker ended up being in the 2nd carriage according to the image on screen. Nipped into the Route Editor and extended the platf...

OR Timetable Tutorial
Hi Andy, I've taken a further look and it seems the problem may be with the platform markers! When I switch from an 8 car class 450 to a 4 car version; all seems to be fine. Could it be that OR is checking if I'm in the platform correctly differently to how msts does and so I need the platform's mar...

Re: OR Timetable Tutorial
Hi, Just getting back into this after over a year of not much time. I'm working on the Dorset Coast route (being my local) - I'm getting my timetable in fine; but for some reason on my 1st train (I'm building up slowly!) If I start at Reading; then as soon as leave and head down towards Earley (next...

Re: What route should I get?
Hi,
I agree with Bob regarding the NWC route.
Full details of the activities included within the route can be found in the following file
[uktsfile 27981]
And that reminds me that I need to revisit the route & maybe complete my activities that are in the library

Re: Created more problems for myself. Help please.
Hi Paul, How many activities has you got unstored? I'd try having only a couple unstored at any one time & then try to open & re save them. If you've got all the activities that came with DC3 unstored then MSTS will either crash or take an absolute age to open (I did this a few years back and had to...

Is there a problem with the Making Tracks site?
Hi,
There does appear to be an issue with the main site; however I believe that a 3rd party provide the digital download service and products can be bought from
https://my.digitalgoodsstore.com/makingtracks
(This site was linked to from the MT site itself).

Re: Help!
Hi, If you are reinstalling; make sure you manually remove any route folders before reinstalling - MSTS by itself will leave anything that it didn't install behind. When you reinstall; make sure that the main MSTS folder looks something like msts_main.JPG And check that the sim loads with the 6 defa...

Re: Help!
Hi, Slightly puzzled by what is going on here! You say you installed the route without creating the folder first and then created the folder & reinstalled. Did you do anything else between the installations? If you browse to your main Train Simulator folder and navigate to the Sounds folder within t...
