I thought Arriva Cross Country were using HST's on some of their services from the December 2008 timetable. I can't say I've seen any about so far. They've been using their own HST's for about a year now. First a couple of Valenta engined ex Midland Mainline sets, then all were refurbed with MTU's ...

I quite like the 375/ 377's on South Eastern and Southern myself. 444's are quite spacious and comfortable, but their first class section is rubbish compared to a 159.

Great Malvern to Weymouth: 158's, 150's, or those plus a 153 as far as Bristol or Westbury. Cheltenham Spa to Swindon: 150's or a 153. Also HST's run this route through to Paddington.
