What a huge shame when Anglia used to run the Norwich - Liverpool St. and local services so well. Its a shame to see something good turn bad. But I don't know all the details and maybe those lines are okay and its just the Ex Great Eastern franchise thats suffering???

I think some of the older HST set ones are getting quite old and heard that the West Coast stock had been showing signs of rusting. Still though surely they've got another 5 - 10 years in them with a bit of TLC.

I think when HST's were first introduced on the ECML they had 2 buffet cars, one for regular customers and one for first class meals? But that was before my time so I carn't be certain, although I do know there are 2 types of Buffet car, one type with a fully equipped kitchen and one thats more basic.

Winces, although I would love 2 lay claim 2 such a photo, it isn't mine I found it on google images. I do have a shot of 2 Intercity HSTs crossing the Tay Bridge in Scotland somewhere though...
