... just for the case it's still of any help: tutorial on how to use exactly those "UV Special Effects" fields in GMax can be found here:

How to...Animate Textures

Re: Blender IA/IGS Exporter V2.1 (Prerelease discussion)

Hi Mike, since last sunday I did join the Railworks community. :D Thus all findings are related to gone Railsimulator times. I noted that the binaries of the conversion tools are different between RS and RW. Maybe this explaines something... If I find the time, I'll go into this with RW again. But n...

Re: Blender IA/IGS Exporter V2.1 (Prerelease discussion)

Having read the "wiki" link I can only assume there to be something wrong with the Blender process or the importing which may not have been carried out correctly. The IA animation file contents of the animations exported from Blender did all look the same, like all other old IA files from the devel...

Re: Blender IA/IGS Exporter V2.1 (Prerelease discussion)

I think it is not that important how the animation looks like in Blender, it's more important how the animation looks like in RS/RW, afterwards. ... and obvioiusly it doesn't matter what frame count and framerate is in the IA file because all animations are going through the IAOptimiser.exe, located...

Re: Blender IA/IGS Exporter V2.1 (Prerelease discussion)

... by the way: for some odd reasions I can't edit my first post. Thus a quick update on the release time line: Due to I didn't get the german and english manual update done yet, the release date has shifted to 2010-September. Hopefully the first half... :D If I find some sparetime slots, I'll compl...

Re: Blender IA/IGS Exporter V2.1 (Prerelease discussion)

Hey Mike, this was just an example for how to hold different, independent animations in Blender at the same time. Just animate your e.g. wheels and rods from frame 1 to frame 300, your wiper from frame 350 to 450, your wiper switch from 500 to 510, and so on. But anyway, if I remember right, I saw s...

Re: Blender IA/IGS Exporter V2.1 (Prerelease discussion)

Thanks all for the kind word. This type a feedback drives me to continue spending time for Bigex. :D ... and of course now the all of a piece modelling with Blender. And by the way, did I mention that now, as (nearly) all the secrets of squeezing out the IA/IGS export data of Blender are discovered,...

Blender IA/IGS Exporter V2.1 (Prerelease discussion)

Welcome to the Blender IA/IGS Exporter (Bigex) V2.1 Prerelease discussion thread. As announced earlier in the Blender IA/IGS Exporter V2.0 Release thread, focus for the version 2.1 release is the bugfix of the 2.0 version and of course the animation (IA) export. The good news first: The animation ex...

Re: Glass

... guess you are talking about glass like shown in Dereks Blog: TrainGlass.fx

You can tweak the settings for the shader there as well as see the used textures...

But depending on your needs you could choose another shader of course.

Re: Animated models change shape

Quick info regarding scaling of objects: You can scale objects in Blender, no problem, but you have to push CTRL-A (Scale and Rotation to ObData) for to converting the object scale factor to real mesh data scaleing. Afterwards your object scale is 1,1,1 and the mesh has the same visual size than bef...

or is there any sample locomotive what its working correctly, and the source files can be obtained? Blueprint is enough. For example a working electric, diesel hidraulic blueprints... ... yes there are working sample models, at least working for RS but will most likely run with RW too. The sample s...

Re: Blender forward facing objects

As described in the manual, the RENDER STAGE ARGUMENT sliders in the Bigex GUI are used for input of the special parameter required by some of the RS/RW shader. Example: Refer again to Dereks Blog: a bit down in the Slot 1: picture of the GMax GUI All input of the slider end up in the exported IGS. ...
