Finally it looks like today some of the strengthened services have appeared on the City Line the 0718 Manchester -Liverpool was 142 and 150 and also a couple of 156+156's have gone past!! One service from Huddersfield to Liverpool was a Pacer on its own 142040, I think so this obviously not being s...

The new livery can be confusing too if it's one of those with an advert. For instance, I managed to travel from Barrow-in-Furness to Millom on the Leeds-Sheffield fast service over Easter... :-? Erm, sorry to pint it out but Barrow-In-Furness is nowhere near Leeds and Sheffield. Does the train go v...

I'm pretty sure all the northern stock has the northern logo on it somewhere, even if it is in the corporate colours of someone else. They are slowly rolling out a purple colour scheme on 150s / 155s / 156s and 158s. I guess someone at the top is hoping sometime soon there won't be any pacers...! Y...

Trust me removal of branding is not priority!! Take Northern some 156's haven't been branded yet with their logo and Northern have had the Franchise since 2004!! Im not saying remove the whole branding, im just saying that the logos are still First when its CT that operate them. They just need tapi...

Won't it be one of the TPE 158's that got cascaded when the 185's came in. After checking Wikipedia. It is one that went to Central Trains. I thought they would have removed the branding though or at least covering the First titles. Im sure a person or 2 would have thought it was the Scarborough tr...

Status on 158806
Sorry for a stupid question. But today at Warrington Central I seen 158806 with the TPE branding across including First banners across the trains. But the service was the Central Trains to Norwich.
Basically I just want to know where this train is at as I nearly got on it thinking it was to Leeds

Errr, thats not in the NRM collection is it? And you're arguement RE the 3rd rail is flawed. NOWHERE has a suitable 3rd rail system that it could run on (before anyone suggests it, the Manchester-Bury system was uniquely 1200v DC), so surely its better off being 'home'? Dave That it is, but even Ma...

Central Trains as well. Despite having been meant to be stuck on Liverpool to Norwich and Stansted to Brum, they've been sighted in such places as Crewe, Hereford and Cardiff. Ahh some on the LPL-NOR service, there were 2 on it the other day doing a peak service. I think it was 158-884 and another ...
