I belive there is an option built into the Eurotunnel locos (not Eurostar 373s and 92s) to allow them to operate automaticaly without a driver in the future.

And why would you want to connect it to the tram system in sheffield anyways?? Agreedy in sheffield it wouldnt do much good, short of combineing it with the long talked about extensions. But the Best plan i read about was the Leeds plan where youd catch a train tram from say wakefield or someothere...

All you will need to do is to walk from Sheffield Station the normal trams... and the whole point of the tram train is to use existing train tracks - not tram tracks The point is they can run on both but they arnt, now why is it we are not talking about a replacement to the 142,144,153,150,158 etc ...

Surely if they put a big enough order in then production of more coaches could happen, i.e atleast 2 more Std class per train so youd have 6 and 7 car trains, should still fit in platforms.

They dont refer to them as voyagers anyway, or certainly the anouncements ive heard dont, they are just "Cross Country service to..." whereas VXC were "virgin voyager service to..." The only time ive heard MML (EMT) or First Hull Trains refer to thier 222s by the Meridian or Pioneer name is in the s...
