Im going to Glasgow for the first time (first time to Scotland as well) im traveling up and back the same day from Sheffield 05:29 off Sheffield back at 23:00ish what a mamouth day thats gonna be, hope its all worth the effort.

Alternatively, how about the Ravenglass and Eskdale's first River Mite? :o Now that was a strange looking beast. Just a quick note if anyone out there is interested Little Giant is now at the NRM next to what remains of 4472 quite an interesting comparison, although 4472 has no boiler.

oh sounds interging. Just a thought has anyone out there considered doing the never built (but designed) RH&DR garrat style engine.

That's an odd one, funny though a similar machine will be seen there in the future............. Quite a way off yet im told work has ceased on it for now and as far as im aware its not public knowledge yet I saw in in one of the Mags, a few months back though............. Do you remember which one ...

Hi being a volunteer and seasonal paid member of the RH&DR I do know something about this. There are curently only 3 sets of barriers sitting at New Romney awaiting instalation.
