Otherwise if you want to work on restorating carriages/locos you will probably start in the relevant works. Same for permanent way or signals usually. If you want to...

This one for example: http://www.bluebell-railway.co.uk/bluebell/pics/q1_mike_esaus.jpg Bulleid spent years in a wind tunnel designing that thing to get as much dirt on the crew as possible!! I only had a few goes, but it was really diffic...

Andrew, CME, Bodgit & Scarper Engineering. Just to quantify that, if a train arrived at a station the passe...

Most road engines are driven on the reversers, standard practice really with road engines, certainly on long pulls on the road. Leave the regulator set and then notch forwards and ...

Yes, it all depends on which side the driver is standing. if on the left(in the picture then driving with the reverser is possible, but on the right, it's not really. Driving on the reverser is possible on some steam engines, i've certainly seen drivers on the W&L using the reverser on 85 to provid...

I have yet to download the route, but its on my list. It looks great and these improvements will make it better I am sure. Dont put too many of those traction engines in though, or we will all run late from slowing down to watch them

Nope, just ballast, rails and dont forget overhead wires...and lots of roadworks while its all built! I well remeber the building of the Croydon Tramlink. Once its done though its great - trams all the way!
