Re: New Railfan Scenario Mode
Pity is with this couplers only train issue is that Railfan mode actually works. It's a shame it seems impossible to implement it in your own scenarios.

Re: New Railfan Scenario Mode
Try this----don't worry about the lack of a HUD yet, we can look at that later. I think you will find posts suggesting working on a clone rather than the supplied scenario..... https://www.dropbox.com/s/5euy63jm0dg7rkx/RailFan.zip?dl=0 extract the contents of it (just a copy of the Churston scenario...

Re: New Railfan Scenario Mode
Trains appearing as couplings only is usually down to a missing .Geo or simulation script, something I've not had in any 'train spotting' scenarios--admittedly I haven't played many but if it was such an 'age old problem' there'd be lots of posts about it in here. Have you been working on a clone o...

Re: New Railfan Scenario Mode
What the Railfan mode does is remove the age old problem of trains appearing as couplers only to trainspotting scenarios. If you take the Churston scenario as an example. The train from Kingswear using the railfan mode appears as it should at your location. If you remove the railfan mode and put in ...

Re: New Railfan Scenario Mode
Is it possible to extend the ending time of a scenario. The New Railfan scenario at Churston is the one I am trying to extend.

Re: New Railfan Scenario Mode
I don't have such issues here. Maybe you are flying to far away from the starting point. But there is no reason to not place the invisible RailFan Loco on any siding track to avoid a fly away. Just beware of crossing AI traffic for that siding track. DTG uses a career scenario type to let user earn...

Re: New Railfan Scenario Mode
It is not a new feature. Just a new name for very old things. If you want to make an spotter scenario just do a normal scenario, set the gizmo to where you want to start, create your AI traffic and do not mark any train as player <- voila ...RailFanMode :drinking: Problem with that is the old issue...

Re: New Railfan Scenario Mode
Has anyone set up the New Railfan mode yet with a new scenario?
Really struggling trying to get to grips with this feature. Any ideas gratefully received.

Re: Update?
I'm afraid for me the latest update 7.1 has turned a playable TS2012 in legacy or TSX mode into a stuttering unplayable sim now. So it's back to ver 6.7 to make it playable again. My specs are intel i7 ,2.67Ghz, 6.00GB Ram, ATI HD4800 card. Could you send an e-mail to RS.com support about this. The...

Re: Train Simulator 2012 (Part 3)
Am I doing somthing wrong, because apart from the uncoupling issue and that annoying download of .net every time I launch the game, it works ok for me, here's my specs if anybody is interested: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 @ 2.66GHz, 5GB ram, Nvidia GTX 260 with 896Mb Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and I ...

Re: Crawling AI
Yeah, I have had it, primarily messing up test scenarios I had created on my own route. I've also had some very weird behaviour with signals, basically AI trains stopping at clear signals and bringing the whole thing to a grinding halt. Am going to copy my route, delete the scenarios and create som...

Re: Crawling AI
I am quite pleased with the upgrade, my 3 year old pc seems happy with the new game engine although I have to knock off the shadows to get the best performance, something a new graphics card and extra RAM I hope would address the problem. I have noticed when I use heads out or passenger views that ...
