I really disagree at that last comment. Look at the Bachmann 158s and how many livieries have they done on them? Is that not good selection of different livieries? Anyway, I'm sure Bachmann will do all the liveries in time. But it will take time and it's a shame they can't do everything at once. At ...

Yes I agree.

The Hornby seacows are nice, but I would need a rake of at least ten to make it look a substantial length. That would be around £180.

As a student I can't afford these ever increasing prices. :(

I would think that the 47s will be around the same price as the 57s. I heard a rumour that the 47s are only going to appear in two liveries to start with - BR Blue and BR Green. :(

Hi Pete,

Thanks for that, but unfortunately they don't sell them according to a member of staff there.

Do anywhere else do Sprinter detailing parts such as BSI couplers and mini snowploughs?

BSI Couplers

Hi all (again),

I bet you're all getting sick of me!

Hurst Models's Dummy BSI Couplers for Sprinters etc are currently out ot stock, and I need them to complete my 156. :(

Does anyone know where else these might be available from? Or if any other companies make them? :-?

Thanks again. :D

Hi there,

Thanks! I thought they'd done it.

What was confusing me was that they'd obviously used the same picture for two Class 158s.

Bachmann Class 158s

Hi all, :) Just a quick question, I'm sure someone will know the answer on here. Did Bachmann ever make a 158 in Alphaline Wales & West livery WITH THE BURGANDY DOORS AND BRANDING (the one after the blue version)???? :o 1) I know they have produced the early blue branded version with blue doors as I...

Hi Simming,

Thanks for that info. I tested one out at the model shop near my college today, and it seems to work great. I'm gonna get one tomorrow. :D

Hi 47522,

Could you tell me where you can get these from and roughly how much they cost? Thanks. :P

Hi welshgod,

We have a Class 220 four car set, and had the same problem to start with, but this was due to a tiny piece of un-level track. Is all your track layed correctly?

Now I've got the problem of getting other couplings for mine, as for some reason they have just vanished?! :x

Locomotive Wheel Cleaner

I'm personally fed up of having to clean all our loco's by hand with an old Track Rubber, or running them round on the rails and waiting for the electronic rail cleaner to burn off the muck. I read somewhere that you can get an electric wheel cleaner that does a great job of cleaning the dirt off yo...

I thought it was called "Northern Spirit" to start with, and then I looked in the catalogue and saw it was actually called "Spirits of the North". :)

Unfortunately we have decided to keep it for now (as prices are going down on ebay - one sold once for £310! :o )

Of course, if it was a very nice offer we might change our minds.....

Over the years Hornby have produced two train sets which include the Class 142 'Pacer'. :P The first one appeared in 1995 and was simply called "Twin Train Set". This included a Class 142 in Regional Railways Tyne and Wear PTE livery (yellow, blue, grey, black and white. Number 142 020), and a Class...

Unfortunately James I can't get them for you now as I no longer work there.       I had to change jobs because of transport issues, which really annoyed me because I used to love it on the 'Rio Grande'. :( Sorry again, otherwise I would have course got you the rec...
