Re: When RSC Gets it right! - Woodhead

Hear Hear, Great Scenery, good frame rates. I finally succumed and got it on a new copy of RW3 just in case Steam (or I) didnt mess up my original.
Brilliant Route Very enjoyable, I even like the rain ! Well done RSC and Derek. (Who I understand is not on this forum now. Sad) He will be missed.

Re: ATI or Nvidia for Railworks?

It should be noted that (apparently) ATI and Nvidia cards now work together. see. http://www.ngohq.com/news/16560-patch-re-enables-physx-when-ati-card-is-present.html http://www.itproportal.com/2010/05/28/nvidia-removes-ati-physx-block/ http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2253249 ...

Re: Weekend 48hr Scenery

Thanks for the compliment, happy to put it up for everyone. I would need someone to point me to a tutorial on how to post. I know how to make up a package now, but What if I have included files from Railworks, do I have to remove them first or do they get automatically removed. Does Mikes programme ...

Re: Windows 8 Consumer Preview Edition and TS2012

Hi Mike Yes you can install W8 Dual Boot if you follow (carefully) the normal instructions for partitioning etc. I have a Touch Screen Netbook with W7/W8 and although would not put Railworks on it I did put the free version on just to see what happens ! You can get it here http://www.nrm.org.uk/scot...

Re: anything better than Fraps?

Fraps is just about the best capture there is, I cant imagine life without it. The files are big, remeber the size of the files 720, 1080, 1920, etc etc is dictated by your screen resolution, Fraps records at what ever the screen display is set to, thats why (on xp at least) you can even do super wi...

Re: Some TS2012 Route Creator Information

In a similar vein, I would like to know how, after you have created some scenery how do you set the points in a default position. For example to keep a mainline through route, this would help if you went into freeroam you dont want to get sent all over the place or have to set the points yourself. J...

Weekend 48hr Scenery

My friend and I gave ourselves a weekend challenge to build some Scenery. I went for a fictitious route in ? Peru ? high up anyway. I had just watched the BBC Engine Driver programme. This video is the result of 48hrs very quick designing from Friday 8PM to Sunday 8PM. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Re: Unnecessary detail?

I thought the point of scenery detail was that all scenery could be placed with a detail level between 0 to 10 ? Therefore scenery close to the track would be graduated out to distant scenery which would disappear if you turn the level down. I haven't check if that was the way WCML was done but that...

Re: Demand For Freeware Routes?

Hi Vern,, I think there is room for both. I am retired, and not enjoying the pension I thought I would get, so freeware is important, one of my favorite lines all time is Granfield Branch by Steve Cunningham, I love the short potter up and down lines. Of course I like WCML & Exeter, Falmouth even HS...

Re: A New Route coming from RSC?

Chiltern Line please with the Great Central as far as Rugby and a nice touch would be HS2 for the moderns at scenery level 10 so if you dont want it you can turn it off, but it would be nice to get a route before its built and this would give everyone everything and a London Terminus. Just dreaming ...
