Re: End of class 421s on Lymington branch?
Both units were out of action today. 1498 failed during the day so 159008 was bought in from Salisbury to take over. First duty was 1J39 15:29 Brockenhurst - Lymington Pier.

Re: BRR10 Route Randomiser & BVE4
No ones got any ideas? Just to add, the BVE launch file still works but theres now a spreadsheat file called "brrtemp" when the route window shows up.
I know other people have Route Randomiser working with BVE4, so I thought that someone would have an idea that may solve the problem.

BRR10 Route Randonmiser & BVE4
I've recentley downloaded route randomiser to run it with BVE4. I've configured it to the correct paths to find the BVE folder, stock and routes. This bit is fine, all routes and stock show. But, how do I get it to start? In the fourth box on the configure panel the actual executable BVE file name g...

Re: SWT 8027 seen today at Pokesdown
It was running 5Z50 Winmbledon to Bournemouth. SWT usually send their 455's and 458's down to Bourenmouth for light work, usually bogie replacement/overhauls. Some vids of 458's at Eastleigh: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTTM1akpMEM&feature=channel_page http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLIKEe0VEwc&f...

Re: rail fans in carlisle may know this one..
I think the train consisted of loaded Freightliner flats, though it being made up of coal wagons also springs to mind.
They're probably both wrong and i'm thinking of something else knowing me!

I was there today, had the early bird ticket which was good. Brilliant day, managed to cab a few loco's and steamers and got plenty of photos.
Fantastic day!

Re: Two Questions about Lymington and Rovers
Hey all, 1. Firstly, does anyone know roughly when they're actually planning to withdraw the MK1s? They've already taken out one train, and it'd be just my luck if I turned up the day after they removed the other one. Cheers, Richard I beleive the slammers will be taken out of service around Septem...

Wow! Now that is good! I was there last year for a bit of spotting and I have to say that your version is brilliant. The second shot with the 170 looks tops!

Re: Brought up proper
Even though being born in 1990, i've done a few of the activities on the list. Being out for hours on end away from contact with the parents, eating dirt, maiming small animals and insects, drinking from the hose, climbing trees and injuring myself even if it was the odd cut. (Or the time i jumped i...

Re: POLL:Best third rail EMU...
I thought it was to do with the cost of running them. 444/450 cheaper to use. Plus, using 40 year old traction equipment, spares were probably hard to come by. Andy. BAH. Shows how much SWT cares about the customers.  Glenn I know, the money they spent on buying 444's could've been used ...

Re: POLL:Best third rail EMU...
Got to be a 442 for me. Lovely comfy seats, nice suspension and the motors made a lovely racket at speed! Andy. YES!! So why did SWT decide that the 458s (which at the time broke down a lot) would be better to keep, and that the 444s were are worthy replacement?? Glenn I thought it was to do with t...
