Thanks for the info... I'll see what I can do if I get time... I presume one has to experiment with the opacity of the colour layer as to how much grain and grime shows through?

No doubt that looks good but not a technique I know how to use at moment. What do you mean by a metal texture? & how do you apply the grime?

Personally I dont think flat colours with the shaders look that good. Anyway once its released people can play with the textures as they please. I may tone it down a bit but its just my style of doing things I guess.

I was aware of that but I'm afraid what I have done will have to do... sorry. They are pretty nice models but by no means perfect. I think most people wil be happy with them though

How did we get to Caley Coaches? :D Did I miss something earlier in this thread? but while we are on the subject :) .... when the Caley Association supplied me drawings of the Drummond Class 80 4-4-0 they also found me some drawings of 45ft Bogie stock... so if the 80 gets finished I may have to do ...
