Thank you Justin, Ian - I've now installed the patch and no problems coupling, uncoupling and no running through coaches!
I say again - superb sets!
Cheers
Roger

Re: LNER quad sets
I tired 'brace2011's solution, with an N2, and that does work - so I'm happy! However, that is resolving the issue by amending the loco .eng file, and clearly it's not practical to do that with every loco, so I'm guessing it's an issue with the coach coupling, probably Ian's remark about the missing...

Re: LNER quad sets
Thank you Dennis, Ged, I'll have a play with this tomorrow. I'm just surprised I've never come across this issue before!

Re: LNER quad sets
Thanks for your reply, Ged - not that I'd know how to fix it, I've never played with such things before!
In any event, when I displayed the bounding box, it only showed one for the loco, not the coaches! Presumably that's because they are not actually coupled.
Cheers

LNER quad sets
I have just installed the superb looking Gresely quad-art sets - and the first thing is to thank Justin for all the work he put into this! However, I made up a consist but when driving off, the loco went away without the coaches! When reversing back, the loco just went THROUGH the set, as though it ...

Re: Black screen of death
it just doesn't like these Nvidia drivers I think you might be right, Martin - it's just occurred to me that I was doing an optional update of NVidea drivers when my PC crashed yesterday. AS for your remark "Computers are a pain sometimes" - tell me about it! Yesterday I was coming to the conclusio...

Re: Black screen of death
glad it's resolved, Martin, albeit with some hassle. I hope everything was backed up! Oddly enough, I had my own problems this morning - blue screens of death five minutes into using my PC this morning. Restarting windows normally ended up with BSODs half way through loading. Safe mode worked for me...

Re: Black screen of death
I didn't have this exact problem, but something similar - the screen appeared to freeze When you get the flowers or whatever, is there still hard disk activity (LED flashing etc)? In my case, it turned out to be a failed video card (the card fan, at any rate). So even a reinstall didn't help matters...

Re: What's a guarantee worth?
In New Zealand we have a Consumer Guarantees Act Hi Bob - in the UK we have something similar, a good has to be 'fit for purpose'. The trouble is, it sounds great, but enforcing that is another matter. If the retailer doesn't comly, you have to go to court, with all that entails. Amazon, for instan...

Re: What's a guarantee worth?
That sounds to me like a courier issue Hi Geoffrey - to be fair to Amazon, they did say they couldn't be sure of the reason, they did acknowledgge it might be something as simple as a torn label, or similar. It certainly wasn't attempted delivery, tracking information just showed 'in transit', neve...

Re: What's a guarantee worth?
Well, I can update on my order - unexpectedly Amazon provided a refund due to 'customer return' - remarkable as I had never received it. Technically, they were in breach of contract in doing this; I had not requested a refund and still wanted the item. They advised me that I had to re-order (the ite...

Re: What's a guarantee worth?
Occasionally I embark on a crusade when I am miffed about something I have bought Hi, yes I too have had my crusades in the past but these days I'm more inclined to write things off and just not deal with the company again - as you say, it's just too much hassle in general (that's partly a reflecti...
