Hint: I know there is at least a Picadilly Line out there, although it is in a foreign language (There might have been a translation I am not sure)

Well well... wonder if SWT have learnt from the 458 thing (no, we don't want them, no we don't want them, no we don't want them... <porterbrook cut lease charges> ok, you twisted our arm...). It's bad news for people on the Portsmouth direct, where 444s will become 450s. A less appropriate type of ...

Oh well... The strike is off anyway. Might it have something to do with a letter some of us received today saying that if the strikes go ahead, the "SWT Family Fun Day" for its staff on the 9th and 10th september would be cancelled..... Me smell a bit of blackmail! All of the staff would be punished...

Anyway, 450s are best suited to the Ports & SS - Soton Ctl runs, but as for Brighton - Basingstoke I'm not sure, maybe a job for a 444 if SWT buy some more? Unless platform lengths are an issue? John I am not sure that 444's are passed for the Brighton line. If I remember rightly they can not enter...

455s would be perfect ( as they are) on ports & s'sea - soton services. Staff - are the traincrew round there signed on 455s, or would an expensive and time-consuming retraining exercise be needed? I don't think any of the crews know both the Netley line and 455's as a rule. Basingstoke might as I ...
