The secret of game longievity, making it open enough for end users to make content. I play Grand Prix Legends, which is 9 this year, and it went from something which looked like pole position on the atari, to a breathtakingly realistic car sim, a favourite among real racing drivers. All they had to ...

Loads of multiple tracks will slow it down as they are hard to draw. Lots of approaching scenery will choke it up with loading, slowing it down. As for setting FPS....in my experience, games which allow this do some VERY strange things, if you tell it to do 20fps, when it get to a bust section it ma...

Getting about 12-15 ish as I cross the bridge into Preston. Athlon 2800, 1GB RAM, ASUS GE6800 GT. Soon to be replaced with an athlon X2 5200 and GE8800GTS...that should make a difference. BTW, if you can find an ASUS V9999GE on ebay, it'll be the best 50 bills you ever spent, it WAS a £300+ card bac...

Oh the REAL V-bombers I know well. Every time I think of the Vulcan I get angry. The thing saves the country's bacon in the south atlantic....it's reward?.....scrapped to a single flying example within 5 years. Even trains get treated better. Humans...ungrateful gits :D V-bomber engines feature heav...

Is that a loco, or a ruddy great thing with wings then? (told you I was daft). Will have a go though. ;) With regards to grabbing real life sounds.....well, I'm useless on two scores. First, the two pieces of equipment I lack, among all my piles of wires, are..... a decent portable recorder (though ...

Can I be of service?

It seems like I'm all take take take round here. I've fired a few quid into the coffers, but then, I got some CD's and download rights for that. I wish there was some way I could give back. But.... I know nothing about railways, compared with the folks here, and I have no 3d modelling skills whatsoe...

Yes, quite, the level of tech support on this completely free product that you slaved over in order for us to whine about it, is shocking, you should be ashamed sir! Would appreciate knowing if there is an elegant fix as opposed to what Odun49 came up with, which is a dirty ugly hack (like all...

phew, I get about 11, there IS a point in a new machine then :D Still if that's vista, I'd be expecting better from XP. Thanks for doing that. Sonicm,...make sure you are using your motherboard's chipset drivers, I dunno how it is with Vista and PCIe, but on XP, with AGP windows has a vile habbit of...
