Editing track properties
Is it possible to view / edit properties for an existing section of track? I am particuarlly interested in finding out speed limits and possible changing the direction of travel.. Can co-joined track sections have different directions of travel.? When laying multiple tracks with an UP/DOWN propertie...

Re: Adding a path
My findings were that a speed of 50mph set in a stop instruction looked to be very realistic, as the train dashed through... so my experiences seem to indicate that it is not an on /off switch.. Another thing that seems to occur is that if the max speed limit is 70 mph and the % setting is set at 75...

Re: Controlling the path the player train takes.
Hi Shadders The stop instuction can have a minumum speed and it will not then come to a halt Edit the speed mph in the stop instuction properties ( top right flyout ) the one where you see the green cross.. after editing click on the green cross to back out of the instruction as it will often reset ...

Re: Whistle/Horn probs
It is not a slur on you X-Fi lol If your cpu doesn't send the instruction to the sound card... you won't get a peep out of your X-Fi when you cut down hardware acceleration that does not mean you are slowing your x-fi or cutting down your sound quality. Try it... there will be no reduction in sound ...

Re: Adding AI Trains Step by Step
Hi Plimto You can have more than one train Just repeat the steps for placing a loco step 23 onwards. Each time you add a stop or pick up passenger instruction, look out for exclamation marks... this means you have not got a path. Also bear in mind that your new service could block the path for any f...

Re: Whistle/Horn probs
Go to start menu/ run type dxdiag and let it do its tests under the sounds tab there is a slider for hardware accelleration... it will prolly be on full (ie hard right) bring it back one click close and try the game sounds again. Hardware acceleration roughly means you are using some of your CPU's/m...

Re: Error using 'RS Tools TMB'
Hi James
Yep my routes are unlocked
I even tried a file/folder unlock tool (not RS_Tools) and am still showing greyed and locked files/folders.
I could do with knowing if anyone else is showing locked and grayed check boxes.

Re: Error using 'RS Tools TMB'
Had another look Despite manually making all the Rail Sim folder read Write.. and using the tool It appears that I have folders and or files that are still read only... the read only box in folder properties is greyed and ticked and will not reset. Funny thing is I just tried and succesfully deleted...

Re: AI in freeroam
Thanks John I have never actually set a destination.. i only use stop at and pick up passenger instructions. I would agree that a reset to the start of a scenario would be a pain if working on a long route given all the flying.. Purely by chance I added services one behind the other wheverer ...
