Hi Jason I was surprised by the lack of reskins published, so I've had a quick go and this is what I've found out so far. You will need steelix's RSBin tool and Paintshop pro or photoshop with the DDS plugins. Don't know If this is correct but this is what I did Open the texture with RSBin and expor...
Pete I have had something similar and it was a train that I sent into a portal re-appearing sometime later wrong line.. there are properties in the portal that you can set the "loop" distance and time. A cure may be to make sure the final destination is set to the portal under the driver instruction...
Hi Guys I have done a rough and ready reskins of a gray 16t mineral and Maroon Mk1 Brake (others to follow) These are just quick jobs to give a feel of somewhere up north :D There is no stripe on the 16 tonner its simply a monochrome bauxite http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh213/401Sly/Gray16tmin...
Yep it seems that way (never can be too sure with this sim) The loaded mineral wagons with zero handbrake never moved on a 1 in 50 until I also reduced the rolling resistance... even then they only creep. For flyshunting I think you will have to increase the mass on those vehicles you can't load.. t...
Hi Stewart Yes this does mean no effective handbrake on modified stock... but one of the points I was trying to make is that it seems the rolling resistance of the stock is so high that even loaded mineral wagons on a 1:50 incline would not roll away on their own.. therefore the handbrake could be c...
Ask Derek where to put them if we want to activate them via triggers :D eg 10 seconds after a train stops and the doors open "wooorrr THIS IS BURMINHUM" I can't find the correct location to make sounds available via triggers.. and now I have about 20 different sounds ? audio folders scattered about ...
Hi NN In each item of rolling stocks .Bin file there is a line that says something like <Handbrake> <max force>dtype= blablabla etc ...... 67.5000 </Maxforce> </Handbrake> change this value to zero 00.0000 and you have "rolling stock" sorry can't cut and paste from the .bin editor... I will find an ...
More butchery of the .bin files (sorry RS) I reset the hanbrake force to zero on a couple of items of rolling stock and now they roll when propelled without coupling and also will keep rolling when the loco brakes... In a test I pushed 6 loaded mineral wagons onto a 1:50 slope ( uphill ) at 30 mph f...
I found something similar with banking If you couple up a banker to an AI train you can drive the train from the rear engine, however if you then change views it will jump to the lead loco.. Only guessing but the the above leads me to believe that if you set a lead loco with a destination.. delayed ...
