Re: Making a wye
Is there there any tutorials out there to show me the procedure for making a wye? This sort of thing shouldn't need a tutorial. A wye is fairly simple to make, as long as you're OK with tracklaying by now. To make a wye myself, I'd move ahead from the station a bit, and create a left or right-hand ...

Re: Development Tools
Are you sure you are using the right shortcut ? You should have in the Uk version ( assuming the tools installed properly ) a RailSimEditor.exe in the RS folder so you could in theory just create shortcut on the desktop for it. John Well, John - that definately wprked for me. All I had to do in the...

Re: Development Tools
Am I correct in assuming that these tools are the ones that show up in the Editor window, next to the Driver icon, and contain the tools to instruct a passenger train where to stop, and some other freight train instructions etc. ? I had these tools installed to the USA version of KRS, although I di...

Just a minor problem right now...
I seem to be getting on quite well at working out how to setup things for passenger runs, as the route I'm working on at the moment, running through several stations with platforms and such, through a large area with a loco depot and car sheds, sidings, etc. to another station that has a small depot...

Re: Settings for a gradient in your route...
A gradient of 1% is 1 in 100 so put 100.000 in box 2% ie 1 in 50 put 50.000 in box and so on for a downgrade put -50.000 ie minus in front Moe I tried that earlier today, and it sure worked correctly as you said above. It's all now hunky dory, and I won't be forgetting that quickly next time. Cheer...

Settings for a gradient in your route...
I did get some help previously in putting the correct settings into the box, for a gradient I anted to test, and it went fine, but that was weeks ago, and the route was deleted because of problems I had after that. I can't recall what I typed into the box to get the 1 in 50 gradient (2.0 percent I t...

Help !!!
I need some expert help, if it is available for this sort of problem. Quite often, when installing a scenario someone else had made, and uploaded to the downloads section, I get a centred dialogue box saying "Scenario failed to load" and although the scenery is visible, and you can shift/up-arrow an...

A small need for help...
Can some knowledgeable person please inform me as to exactly setup the track links for, and which is the correct Y-shaped junction signal (feather type) of the 2, 3 or 4-aspect sort so that they work correctly for me, and also how to setup the other track links for feather-type junction signals like...

KRS is Fun (!!!!)
I'm no 'kiddie' myself, but definately enjoy using KRS more and more at each passing day. I bought the Expansion Pack, after purchasing the USA Version, and have both working nicely now. The only odd thing is that I think, but may not be correct, that the Expansion Pack is only installable into the ...

Duplicated Semaphore Signals
Sometimes, when I've installed some wooden semaphore signals (NOT the lattice ones) and they appear to function correctly, all appears to be well, until I run this route of mine again, and I usually discover that there's another signal exactly the same in front of it, or very close to it, though. It...

A slight problem (again!)
I downloaded something to do with a scenario creation program from the official KRS site recently, and some 'example' objects have since appeared in the list of placeable objects for putting in your routes, which I've been ignoring, as I don't need them at the moment, but since tonight, I've been tr...

Got UK Version of KRS, and bought US Version
What does a guy have to do in order to get the US version of KRS to install, when you already have the UK version ? It only gives me the screen for playing or modifying KRS, and I want to install it. I'm doing something wrong I think (!) You can have both versions on the same computer at the same ti...

Re: Platforms and matching ends...
Hi Jim Uk platform 1 90 take Uk platform 1 90 L or R in the static objects tabs (Station buildings I think) I've noticed that even when using the correct ends etc, the white warning lines do not match exactly. G'day there, mate. My point exactly about the ill-matching lines on the end-pieces. This ...
