Re: GFX Problem With ECML Northumberland

No-one else has reported this kind of problem.... On my modest system, I get about 22fps with the DMUs, less with the HST, except in the area around Newcastle and Berwick, where it falls to about 13fps. I'm sorry that you're having such problems. I've spent considerable time ensuring that objects ar...

Re: Something for the weekend...

Short answer, Gav... no. Long answer: If you want to drive in the dark, edit a route file. Open it in notepad, and, near the top, you'll find a line like this: .lightdirection 35;270 Below it, add .AmbientLight 11;11;11 and this will reduce the light levels, although there'll be no night time object...

Re: Easy downloads for BVE

It's not that difficult....

ECML:Northumberland instals to the default directories... most trains do, or the downloads give you the chance to specify where they should go to....

Disappearing objects are usually caused by BVE's "25 metre" rule.... as you train moves forward, the route behind you is discarded from memory, at each 25m mark. There are two ways to prevent objects disappearing... 1. never build them more than 25m forward (ie., in .b3d format, never make the third...

Beyond my skill level, I'm afraid.... the experts usually ask further question such as:

- Has it ALWAYS been like this, or has something changed recently?
- Are your video drivers up to date?
Is it ONLY track - can you see other objects (eg., platforms) OK?

Gentlemen,

This thread was started 19 MONTHS ago... and, sadly, the person who started it promptly disappeared!

AFAIK, the only section of ECML that is likely to see the light of day soon is my route through Northumberland, which I'm anticipating releasing this summer....
