Re: BVE demonstration
Both demonstrations we did at Wylam were popular. We did try charging kids 10p a go as a fundraiser for the Scouts, but to be honest, if each person drives for ten minutes, you can only take 60p an hour, £4 for the day at best, so it's not worth the effort. It's best considered just as a hands-on, h...

Re: BVE demonstration
A mate and I did something similar at ScoutRail, Wylam, in October this year and last. If you can, I suggest you use a video projector, so that people can see a large screen as well as the screen for the driver on the pc. From our experience, I'd make it very much "hands-on" rather than just a "demo...

Re: Railsimroutes website update
As usual, Anthony Bowden sets very, very high standards for BVE, which the rest of us can only ever hope to aspire to.

A dozen objects added to library
I'm very pleased to let you know that Alan has been working hard to add a further twelve objects to the object library on my site. This month, he's added a whole new category: platform furniture: http://www.eezypeazy.co.uk/screenshots/graphic2.jpg There's also a further four buses: an Arriva "provin...

Re: Question about route building
RouteBuilder allows you toe xport your route to BVE in whatever state it is... Developers seem to take one of two approaches. Some lay all of the basic track first, putting all the curves in all the right places; then, when it looks right, start adding the scenery. The other approach is to lay the f...

Re: Question about route building
Just to clarify, I have now largely abandoned using RouteBuilder - it is credited in my routes because I used it in my early route building days to construct parts of the routes, sections of which still remain in my published work, together with some very basic objects.. so the credit is very much a...

And, bigvern, it would never have happened if I hadn't stumbled across your TrainDespatcher Bridgend three and a half years ago, and developed an interest in train simulations and BVE from there....
