Re: Edingburgh-Aberdeen Missing Semephore Signal Posts

Re missing semaphore signal posts: I'm guessing here, but having looked at an Edinburgh - Aberdeen route file, it uses the semaphore signal posts included in the BR Semaphore signals pack, available from trainsimcentral - so, have you installed this pack into your BVE 4 object folder? Re: Good starting point

Started as a user? Or started as a developer? As a USER, if you're interested in British Mainline trains, then Network West Midlands from trainsimcentral and Birmingham Cross City South. There's also quite a bit of London Underground available, but that's not in my sphere of interest. As a DEVELOPER...

Depends what you want to do... If you go to BVE Pages Useful Links page , you'll find a page of... useful links. If you're only interested in BVE and openBVE as a USER, you'll find links there to installation guides, and international route and train databases. If you're interested in DEVELOPING YOU...

Re: Rail Sim Routes Watford to Rugby

I'm no perfectionist, either, but I recently spent a WHOLE DAY building... ... a car park. http://www.eezypeazy.co.uk/screenshots/carpark.jpg That's 100m of scenery completed on just one side of the track... On the other hand, as I've been doing this for five years now, I look back at my earlier wor...

Re: Voyager XC

Hi, You should have two files - "extensions.cfg" and "extensions for Cross Country!.cfg" I've just downloaded the train from trainsimcentral, and had a look at these files. Unfortunately, the two files are exactly the same, so you will need to edit the content of the Cross Country one, so that it is...

BVE Scene Number 3

The third edition of BVE Scene has been published. As usual, it contains the latest updates from BVE Pages. openBVE: Thanks to guillyman and surfsup, there's a superb Class 47 exterior and a Mark 3 coach to provide a train for it to haul. The 47 is supplied with two different exteriors, both in Dire...

Re: Route delays

It's also possible to add a degree of "randomness" to the .pretrain command. For example, .pretrain 10.11$rnd(10;59) In theory, BVE 4 will, in this example, choose a random time of between 10.11 and 10 seconds and 10.11 and 59 seconds for the time when the previous train passed that point. In practi...

Re: (Object help) Showing the glass effect

To simulate glass, you can apply a semi-transparent colour by adding a fourth parameter to the color statement in your object. In a .b3d format object, you add colour with a statement such as color 200,200,255 which will be a light blue. You can make this transparent by changing it to color 200,200,...

More objects to download

The Object Library at BVE Pages has grown again! Further sets of posters have been added, together with a set of seven classic enamel sign s. Two cyclists have been added to the people page and there’s a fine footbridge contributed by Hans van Oost, aka Busheyheath. You can read all about it at BVE ...

Re: Get those cameras clicking!

Hi Andy,

The Tyne Valley rebuild is progressing. Many new objects will be included, adding to the realism.

Mrs eezypeazy, eezypeazy Jnr and I are doing Prudhoe to Keighley and return this coming Thursday... my camera will be clicking!

Cheers

Re: Announcing: Ramsgate to Victoria Route W.I.P

Hi, The canopy edge (don't ask me why, but I call it the valance) looks very similar to the one I've used in this object: http://www.eezypeazy.co.uk/screenshots/brampton.jpg Drop me an email to eezypeazy@eezypeazy.co.uk and I'll happily send you the bitmap. That'll get the edge of the canopy started...

Any size will do... provided they're not too large to email! We'll sort out resizing them for BVE...
