Well, the Horsham branch sprang to mind for a few reasons: 1). Cranleigh is quite a large town to be lackng in a railway connection. 2). Yesterday I made the journey Cheam - Guildford, and thought this might be useful, considering Dorking to Dorking Deepdene is severly inconvienent (the timetables d...

Guildford - Cranleigh - Horsham (perhaps an idea for a community railway?). I know it's an unlikely one, but a nice idea, all the same. Defnitely right about the Woodhead route though. Shame all plans don't include electrifying it - 25kvAC, of course, DC operation would be a little pointless (why do...

Clapham 31s
Hi On 12/5, I noticed a pair of 31s lurking in Clapham Junction sheds. I didn't think they were Eurostar thunderbirds (normally 37s), and one, surprisingly, was in (albeit shabby) intercity livery. Can anyone tell me what they were doing there? Thanks Nick PS: If anyone saw a puzzled looking guy in ...

I guess that in TrainSim world virtually any combo can be tried so keeping things realistic is hard. With regards to DCR I have yet to see a class 442/444/450 or 458 coupled to anything but another of the same class. Class 159/170 combos are quite common but I have never seen a 159+170+159 set so k...

Where did you download them from? I've used them for GR2 and PTK activities before without problems. I got mine from the-train.de. According to the German readme from that, the folder in Trainset should be named "Rlmmps". If this wasn't the folder name used, that could solve your problems. I hope th...

I don't think there's the market for another North-South mainline, it would not be economically sensible without closing the London-Scotland routes on either the ECML or WCML. The money would be best spent on re-doing the WCML upgrade properly, or spreading electrification to the GWML and MML, or p...
