Re: RailSimulator.com Spring-Summer Showcase 2011‏

There's now a picture on facetube of what looks like a GM loco roof grille.

I agree that it could be an earlier sleeper coach livery. So could we have an ETHEL with our sleepers please?

Re: RailSimulator.com Spring-Summer Showcase 2011‏

I had a thought on the Mk3 roof. It's actually part of a 67's roof profile. Any thoughts?

That just leaves the roof profiles unanswered!

Re: RailSimulator.com Spring-Summer Showcase 2011‏

A 67 would be appropriate for the Caledonian Sleeper for the Fort William/Inverness portions. Less so for NR measurement trains.

Re: RailSimulator.com Spring-Summer Showcase 2011‏

Earlier I'd thought we'd all got it with the Thumper idea. However, that's now gone out of the window with the second roof profile.

I like the idea of an NR test train pack, seeing as it covers such a wide percentage of modern UK rolling stock.

True. Although it did look quite dirty the last time I saw it; too much claggy traction, perhaps.

With all these great looking modern DMUs you're producing, we're going to have some pretty great modern image scenarios in RW now. :D

Re: AP Class 158 Soundpack

Hmm. Perhaps content creators should have been producing DEMU versions of DMMUs to sidestep issues with RW scripting/physics etc.?

Just a thought

Re: RailSimulator.com Spring-Summer Showcase 2011‏

It looks very much like a Mk1 based MU to me from the fittings. The shot on facebook with the yellow-white paint scheme suggested to me that it came in Connex livery, whatever it was, which might well suggest a 205/207 DEMU. (Actually I wouldn't mind having the 205 bodyshell instead of the seemingly...

Re: Setting final destination in Ai causing crash?

Is this in a scenario dependent on train priorities for complex movements? I've noticed that having got a scenario to work the way you intend it one time, the next time you load it in RW the signalling system might not handle it the same way and I've found that you need to go back and look through a...

Re: Railway spotting on the TV

For TV continuity, that's not bad. At least it was all kept in Mk3 EMUs which are similar in design. Continuity errors with steam engines are always going to be worse as they look much more obviously different from each other. Even someone with little or no knowledge of the subject will spot that a ...

Re: Poll: What Motive Power / Era combinations do you like best?

I went for early electrics; well before my time.

Though I suppose the whole 1900-1950 period would be my choice, including all forms of traction.
