Re: Railworks 2

Hi Welshdragon, Just a piece of advice if you found the £790 figure offputting. Buy slowly, and take advantage of sales on steam when they come up. I think I've paid full price for no more than a quarter of my railworks addons. I would also say that I bought Railworks about 18 months ago, and it too...

Re: RSC - What are they "cooking" for us?

If we had some wagons in that branding, I've got the perfect scenario idea 8)

Re: Who Did It?

I used to know a few things about the rumours, but unfortunately a recent spoof programme on Radio 4 has now left me confused

I have heard "Jill the Ripper" mentioned a few times before, by people who claim to have solved it and discovered the culprit to be a woman.

The Night Riviera does not stop between Reading and Taunton allowing various possible routings, including via Bristol.

Hmm. I have one like that sitting on my wardrobe. Unfortunately there's no longer any space for a layout.

S&D Scenario Pack

Hi everyone I've uploaded this scenario pack to the file library, and I wanted to create this feedback thread [uktsfile 26499] 1. Do the scenarios run OK? - my experience is that just because they run on my machine doesn't mean they'll run on others the same way :o 2. Is the stock list accurate? - m...

Re: Train Introduction and Retirement Guide

I thought of some further amendments to the list (sorry for knit-picking): -The saddle tank add-on, I thought, depicted a Hawthorn Leslie/RSH prototype, not Kitson - being the same series as IOW Invincible, and are also a bit older (c.1914). -7Fs are 2-8-0s and were introduced in 1914. -the last 52s...

Re: A Little Bit Of Atmosphere! 5

Here's one from my new railway set in the grounds of a country park. The railway uses diesel (and occasionally steam) industrials to give train rides to the kiddies: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v211/Padster/hunslet.jpg Best wishes, Padster This reminds me of the Hollycombe demonstration line....

Re: First generation dmu's ?

I'd really like to see 117/8s or 121s - actually that wouldn't make a bad combined DLC pack

I'd also like the Thumper DEMUs.

We have the GWR AEC railcars here on UKTS if you like vintage DMUs though.

Ha. I think I was on the working you chose to photograph. I very much enjoyed both 828 and the cream tea served in the buffet car.

Re: RailSimulator.com Spring-Summer Showcase 2011‏

Where's my Thumper gone? Oh well, 4CIG on the 20th, I hope the 4CIG sounds have that bang sound, I think it's an overload breaker, Always going pop as they pulled away as i remember, Tried to find a vid on YouTube with it, without any luck. Possibly even more appropriate when the 455s come out a mo...

Re: RailSimulator.com Spring-Summer Showcase 2011‏

AFAIK there are two separate trains - one splits at Carstairs, with one section for Glasgow and the other for Edinburgh, while the other train runs as a whole train to Edinburgh, and then splits there in sections for Aberdeen, Inverness and Ft. William. Ah yes. You are right about the two separate ...

Re: Bin Laden and viruses!!!!!!!

I noticed this going around on facetube (didn't click on it of course). There are a lot of these things in the ether at the moment.

I'm not sure of who would want to watch it anyway; seeing as we all know it would end in a death, surely we wouldn't watch it out of decency?

Re: RailSimulator.com Spring-Summer Showcase 2011‏

Great news about the DLC. I'm looking forward to quite a lot of their upcoming programme (including the US content soon to be released). My opinion of the 67s has risen steadily with the introductions of the 70s (as did my opinion of the 66s when the 67s came out). On a different note. I always thou...

Re: RailSimulator.com Spring-Summer Showcase 2011‏

I've seen various compositions of sleeper rakes, including Mk1s, 2s, and 3s at different stages, usually in a mixture.
