Re: Still not smooth !
A solid state hard drive will be my next buy :D Do thay really perform up to what everybody says.... I'm not sure I'd spend my money on one just yet - they seem to be awfully expensive for not much capacity. And I've not seen (though I've not looked that hard) many reports about how they perform wi...

Engineering works scenario
Hi all - just been playing the engineering works scenario that came with the UK Wagon pack - halfway through, got this error. Started again from a saved point, and same thing happened. Any ideas on how I go about fixing it? Ta. Sq. http://www.atomic-album.com/showPic.php/132357/engineering%20works%2...

Re: What's the best solution to this ?
Same thing happened to me, fortunately I just renamed the original folder [particles_old], so when it didn't work, I just put it back. Happy to send you a copy of the folder - what's the best way of doing it? Sq. Guess you were a little more alert than I was at the time eh ? :) Perhaps if you're st...

Re: Struggling with setting my "world" up
Had a think about it, and thought I might have been running the old dev tools.Version of the install exe I had was 12-11-2007, which might have been my issue. So I've downloaded the latest ones off the RS website, uninstalled the old one, installed the new, not a jot of difference. I hope I'm not go...

Re: Struggling with setting my "world" up
I am old bean, all patched up with MkI and MkII patches on, along with pretty much all the fixes from the website.
I've bought quite a few add ons that require MkII (inc. wagon packs) so I'm not sure how it could be this? Is there anything I can check to verify one way or the other?

Re: Thinking about building a computer for rail simulator
Hi all, I'm looking into buying top performing defrag software. Has anyone used programs that have seen good improvements in RS performance and which they'd recommend? BP :D After reading decent things about it on here, I bought PerfectDisk 2008 - seems pretty good, can't claim that it radically im...

Struggling with setting my "world" up
Hey all, hope you can help me - I'm trying to have a go at route building, and thought I'd start off small by doing a small part of the branch line from Cross Gates near Leeds that went to Wetherby. I live in the first village along the old line, so thought I'd have a stab and see where I got to. I'...
