Have you defined all the relevant data in the loco brake blueprint section of the simulation blueprint? There is a lot of repetition with the train brake blueprint section, including mapping the control parameter and the braking proportion for the loco brake.

Re: class 37 brake gauge
You can get the brake cylinder gauges to work with the loco brake if you replace the TrainBrakeCylinderPressurePSI control name in the engine blueprint with LocoBrakeCylinderPressurePSI. You can do this with RWTools. Beware tho' - if the class 37 is dual braked (I don't have RW so don't know) this c...

Re: class 37 brakes
The red button/hill start button on most CPBCs holds 1.1 Bar of Pressure in the Brake Cylinders. On our 332s it holds 1 Bar but that's because the Germans like to be different. As for westcode Braking I was lead to believe it was 1.1 bar for brake step 1, 2.2 bar brake step 2, 3.3 bar brake step 3 ...

Re: class 37 brakes
I've uploaded this 166 update. It's not ideal, the "lock" key behaviour can be a bit irritating if you use the mouse (caused by some strange side effect with the "rest in notched position" option). One thing I didn't model is the little red button on the end of the controller. I may not have a prope...

Re: Signal creation question
The only time I really cursed about Lua was when I compared a number and a string containing a number and the result was always false, even if the numbers would have been the same. Lua is generally great in generating silent failures. That's exactly the problem I had. Forced it into a number compar...

Re: Signal creation question
In that case I may be remembering it wrong. I thought I'd done communication in both directions, but it's easy to get confused at my age. Anyway, I'll dig it out and have a look. Appologies for getting people's hopes up, but I was getting confused. I'd only done communication from signal to engine....

Re: Signal creation question
There is a custom message to be sent from the signal to the train. But for the other direction, I never read about it. In that case I may be remembering it wrong. I thought I'd done communication in both directions, but it's easy to get confused at my age. Anyway, I'll dig it out and have a look. D...

Re: Signal creation question
Could you -- maybe in a separate thread -- give details on that? It's been a while since I looked at this stuff, and my games PC is not on at the moment to check (no internet on it, one of the reasons for my RailWorks lethargy). I'll look up the details when I fire it up next. I seem to recall ther...

Re: Signal creation question
Best thing regarding the TAB is send Adam a nice email telling him that you wait for this feature, too. I convinced him that this is needed for all countries in the world where they have shunting signals in parallel to "normal" signals. So this feature is somewhere on RSC's to-do list but no one kn...

Re: Diesel Mechanic Blueprint
To avoid the "unexpected number of parameters" error you need to ensure the last entry in the CSV file has a newline/carriage return at the end. This had me scratching my head for a while.

Probably not a lot of interest to the majority UK scene fans on this site, but this is what I'm currently working on: [album 130467 Gp7loco1.jpg] It's a GP7 circa 1950s. Trucks still need unwrapping/texturing. Here's the cab, view is standing behind driver's seat: [album 130467 Gp7cab1.jpg] Obviousl...

I know two squirts of (removed by moderator) when it comes to programming. I hope he washed his hands after:-) Seriously, Am I right in assuming the dynamic particles update will only apply to steam engines, and will not work on diesels? Has anyone trying naming a diesel smoke emitter to "Main Smok...

Re: Wheelslip Physics
Richard It's very much like MSTS. In the engine blueprint there are entries entitled "dry friction", "wet friction", and "snow friction". Each one applies to the different weather conditions. Bigger the number, greater the grip. Note that the point of wheelslip will be influenced by the weight of th...

Re: Guidelines for Scenario Creation
Well done Adam. Of all the RailWorks customers you could publicly agravate Matt was probably not a good choice. While the WIKI contains usefull advise on scenario trouble shooting, including an indication of the importance of eliminating route track errors, I feel that even if the average RailWorks ...
