Re: Everything Diesel & Electric- Part 4
Nice shot Glasgow, different perspectives are always nice to see. Is that WCML Overshap? It's the WCML North route, it runs from Glasgow to Carlisle, and includes suburban lines around the Lanarkshire area. Alistair Cowell It's funny I've had that in my library years but never properly explored it,...

Seeing Niclouse running NLL made me feel like dusting it off, It's actually the first time I have been able to run it properly, when I last tried it was a slideshow. It's a really nice route! https://thumb.ibb.c...

Re: Everything Diesel & Electric- Part 4
Nice, Certainly does!
I'm hoping to get one later in the year or next, for now I have just upgraded from a 770 to a 780 so I'm happy for now.

Re: Is it Swanley?
I've added more 40s. now up to 6 in total (3 static/loose and 3 as AI) and as you'd expect there's a drop in frame rates--down slightly into the mid 20s. One of the AI services runs into a portal before the scenario ends, which corresponds with a slight increase in the frame rate which only goes to...

Re: Is it Swanley?
similar results to what I got Too early to say with absolute certainty, but that suggests that the impact on performance from static consists isn't as great as we've believed--I'll admit that I was surprised at how many wagons/coaches I had to add to get anywhere near the 400MB or so of memory usag...

Re: Is it Swanley?
Has anybody actually measured the effect of a fully populated yard against an empty one? Quick and dirty test, WCMLoS at Kingmoor yard. Scenario with a single class 47----1.265 MB RAM usage. Swap the 47 for a 40----1.642 MB Roughly 400 MB more RAM usage. Back to the 47 with 8 wagons added (one of e...

Re: Is it Swanley?
4 Swanley is the route origin for most of DTG's South East based routes, as you know Danny3 has merged many of these together on Steam, this is due to the fact that if two routes have the same route origin it is likely they can be 'merged' to create one larger route. Some of the routes that feature...

Sorry can someone put me out of my horrendous geography and explain what the Swanley link is please? Swanley is near Sevenoaks on the Bat and Ball line is it not? Just wondering what that has to do with the Hove/Three Bridges ect link tango4262 mentions. Apologies for sounding daft I'm just confuse...

Re: Is it Swanley?
Oh what a shame, still very nice route by itself. Thanks for the quick replies. Probably no bad thing if this PDL-W route cannot be merged with other routes, as it is quite demanding on resources, particularly around Waterloo. Any merged route would probably make the situation worse. Agreed, it is ...

Is it Swanley?
Haven't picked up the new PDL yet, but i'm currently watching Alan Thomson's First Look on YouTube and it's looking good I must say! Then suddenly as he was driving through Clapham Junction I wondered, what is the route origin? As I understand this is an all new route and nothing is recycled from th...
