South West Trains do NOT run Junipers to Alton anymore. Their prime route is Waterloo to Reading, with around 98% 458 2x458 units. You may occasionally, during weekends and peak times, see Junipers on the Weybridge via Brentford services, but that is it.

Look like there is going to be a major change to the SWT timetable commencing in December. I dont have much info on specific changes, but generally trains will depart at the same minute(s) past each hour throughout the day, and will depart from the same platform each time, rather than the platforms ...

I recommend you do go to the visitors centre - you do get a great view of both landing and departing aircraft.

From Hatton Cross, jump on a 285 bus and ask for The Visitors Centre. It is literally 5 minutes away.

if you want a view of the north runway (27R / 09L) then the Heathrow Airport Visitors Centre is a great place to go. It has catering facilities and toilets. You get other plane spotters there aswell, with a great view of the airport, and concorde. If you plan to listen to your airband then ensure th...

I do not work for Southern, but occasionally for SWT. It seems the South Central route is always a trouble spots, whether run by Govia or Connex. My personal opinion is they need to expand the number of lines on the brighton mainline! South West Trains, obviously, already have plenty of lines up and...
