the black 5 is in the shed next to bittern, but I have no idea where the tender for it is! The std 5 & bodmin are subject to some legal wranglings (well, the wrangling's over swanage, but the same guy who owns swanage owns the 5 & bodmin), and it's quite concieveable that they'll be on their way bef...

And you can be assured that i'm very much looking forward to thrashing her up the bank from alton with a 650 ton ballast train (the real one did it, twice, getting to the summit at over 30mph on both occasions). Had a cab ride at the weekend on 45060 (sherwood forester), and that hill out of alton i...

she's 45 132 at both ends right now, but i'd like to number her D22 at one end (number 2 end I think). I'm yet to convince the owner of the merits of that though!

zactly, better to have an interest than be a sheep and just watch eastenders! Anyone who has an interest (in anything, not just trains) is classified as a "trainspotter" round where I grew up. If the fact that I take an interest in railways makes me a trainspotter, then I'm proud to be a trainspotte...

I think it's very smart, just a shame it's go-ahead, who have never inspired me with their franchises. Why no catering on their trains? They should go the whole hog and paint the stations green & cream...

I have no interest in numbers, I don't like to stand around for hours waiting to take a picture of a specific train, and I've never been on a railtour. I do find it relaxing to stand on a bridge or something and watch the trains go by, and I like to get up close and see how things work. Nothing I li...

previously, the train at about that time (gets to basingstoke at about 1615, waterloo about 1700) was a 6 car 159. I believe it couples up to a 2 car 170 and goes back to yeovil at 1810, and as such the train from Bristol would probably be a 3 car 159. I'll keep my eyes open on the way home and see ...

I've done a little search, but it doesn't appear that there's a model of this around.
