Re: Track Plans Question

I haven't found anywhere online. Usually, they will be in a book documenting the particular railway you are interested in. Some of the books I have got for the East Kent and the Bishops Castle have excerpts in them of old (pre-WW2) OS maps at 20" to the mile. I gather that you can go to some local ...

Re: First commercial Rail Sim addons abandoned

Thanks for posting that, James. It's very interesting to read and I hope the Rail Simulator team have seen this. I also think that the reference to lights is headlights, obviously they wanted to create night missions in their addon. Having played night missions in MSTS for years, I can say that nig...

Re: Broken route

Hi, Yes I have the same gaps on my track. Have not tried running a train over it ATM. MSTS used to have a problem in the route editor where a whole section of track would vanish out of view but the train would still run over the space left by the track. My 2d map seems to correspond also to your com...

Re: Error using 'RS Tools TMB'

What does the program mean by 'The Missing Bits'? Am still having the same problem by the way after your suggestions. Files needed VB6 runtime files RichTx32.ocx copy included. comdlg32.ocx. I am assuming the missing bits refers AFAIK to the fact that the program was a temporary one until the Dev T...

Re: First commercial Rail Sim addons abandoned

Hi,
A little more worrying for me is the fact that aerosoft who produce add ons for MSTS of which I have a few do not even mention or sell KRS on their site and are still developing new add ons for MSTS unless I am missing something.

Re: Error using 'RS Tools TMB'

didnt work for me at all - the scenario remained - I got rid of it using this http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=221&t=76550 advice from jetgriff then deleted the folder Worked for me on both Scenarios and Routes. You have to close and reload the program to check the deletes they don't va...

Re: New dev tools but still no signal fix????

Its true having a read only dvd drive and a separate writer is a better solution as some writers are not very good at times reading dvd's and cd's. Though sometimes it might mean you just need to update the firmware of the drive to improve the read/write abilities. In choosing a drive a little rese...

Track Plans Question

Hi,
Sorry if this is Off Topic (not sure where to place it) but is there anywhere you can get Track Layout Plans of a Station or Line in England that no longer exists. I have done Google searches but cannot seem to find much.
Thanks in anticipation

Re: My loco is not driveable

Silly me (I told you it was most likely my mistake). I have just noticed that there are 2 downloads, one for the devtools and one for the manuals - I had only downloaded the manuals. Eg the Devtools WAS NOT INSTALLED when I placed the consist and assigned the driver. However, I have now downloaded ...

Re: Complete uninstall

Just use the normal uninstall process and then check and delete any leftover files/folders. This bits in bold because it's important.....DO NOT POKE AROUND IN THE REGISTRY UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!! Thats how I did it and the advice in CAPITALS is very important. It does take quite a whil...

Re: New dev tools but still no signal fix????

I think you're less likely to have disc failures, Mike. As you surmised, it is more likely to be a lens fault in the reader. I haven't had any disc failures on things like MSTS, The SIms or Trainz in several years now, but I've had spells where I couldn't read or write DVD's, and that turned out to...

I read in another topic somewhere on this Forum that you have to swap cabs before it will cancel in Intermediate mode. Have not tried this though.

I had this problem at the start and as Stewart said you have to cancel by pressing the "Q" key as fast as possible.
"Q" only works properly in the expert controls AFAIK.
