Route Riter
I have installed MSTS in windows 7, it is working fine. I am using Train Store and again no real problems. I then installed Route Riter because I like the little trick in Train Store where you can see a picture of your consist when you click on the red and green tabs. However when I click on this I ...

Have you tried Fraps to see the 'real' reading on these machines?

Re: Frame Rate in Railworks
Another update I have changed OS to vista ultimate 64 bit and I seem to be getting a better quality of gameplay. However one thing I have noticed I have tried RW on 3 different PC's mine a desktop and other laptops and on all of them I am getting the same fps 14. I was wondering if this is a bug bec...

Re: Frame Rate in Railworks
Ah yes, sorry should have been more specific, meant your mobo make/model... Anyway, your Intel 945 chipset will allow you to use E6300 CPU's by the looks of things - can't be much price diff., that might be the way to go....... :) I checked on the MSI website and it is saying the E6300 is not compa...

Re: Frame Rate in Railworks
The Radeon HD 4xxx series is a pretty good graphics card, but KRS and RW are very very CPU limited, and therefore your Pentium 4 is probably holding you back quite badly. The P4 was never a very good CPU for games, and now it is decidedly out of date. In fact, 14fps is a hard lower limit for RW. Yo...

Re: Frame Rate in Railworks
mmmmm ..... I would have said that was slow considering the CPU and gfx card. I have an AMD 2.4 Ghz cpu ad 2 x ATI 3870's Xfire, and I am getting 30-40 on the two main UK routes, whereas in RS perhaps as low as 20-30. My setting are as per the standard install setup, so no overclocking and AA set f...

Re: Frame Rate in Railworks
Intel (R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU 3.20 GHz
ATI Radeon HD 4670 - 512 mb
Memory - 3,326.41mb
Windows XP3 Service pack 3
I use to run RS under Alacrity PC and that was slower than RW is currently working, of course you can't use AlacrityPC with RW because it needs the internet for the steam part.

Frame Rate in Railworks
I am getting a Frame Rate of 14 fps can anyone tell me whether or not that is good or bad. It seems very smooth and is much better than Rail Simulator on my machine.
