Re: Can I ask for files to be made?
Matt, I would definately recommend having a go at re-skinning. The learning curve is quite steep at the outset but the rewards more than make up for the effort. There are several decent tutorials available from this site to get you started. You will need a 'paint' type program, I use Adobe Photoshop...

Mk 1s, Mk 1s, and more Mk 1s. That pretty much covers the coaching stock. The route also saw a large variety of goods traffic, mainly coal in 16Tonne wagons and HAA hoppers, depending on the era required. Dave.

http://www.underground-sim.ch/seite3.htm is the place for the Victoria Line. It is a payware route on disc, not a download though. Dave.

Re: Sketchup 6 texturing trouble.
Thanks for the answers lads. I tried Tims suggestion first and it worked!! I had never noticed the 'use as texture' option and it was set to 'use as image'. Cheers.

Re: Creating models for 'car spawner'
Hi John, I find photographs are generally of more use than scale drawings for creating road vehicles for train simulator. Using Sketchup I would make a box to the approximate dimensions you need, then apply photo textures to that box, making adjustments to the shape and size of the box to fit the te...

Sketchup 6 texturing trouble.
Hi. I know I'm behind the times a bit but I have finally got around to upgrading from V 5.0.295 to V 6.4.112, and have got the latest exporter for msts too. However, I can no longer texture models in the same way as I could with the earlier version. This may be hard to explain but here goes....... I...

Re: Great Eastern Modern Activity Pack Problems
Now you have two choices. Either name your new stock to match the name of the missing stock and alter the relevant entries in the .eng and .wag files or open the activity in Activity Editor and alter the name of the missing stock to that of the new stock so that your new stock takes the place of the...

Re: PROTOTYPE HST
Unfortunately not. I thought about building a new cab as a freight animation to alter the front end shape of a production machine but never got round to it. There were too many other differences involved, not least the 'blunt end' driving position. Dave.

Re: L& SE
Tim, Its the age of the TSection.dat file supplied with LSE that has caused the problem, LSE containing a much older version than most, if not all, of your other routes. Its good practice to install the latest version after any new route installation. Most new routes come with the latest version of ...

Re: Toffee Apple Anybody ?
I tried really hard to get Daryn access into the cab of D5500 (31018) at the NRM last year but the impending and still ongoing flap about asbestos prevented any access. As volunteers with the NRM Diesel Group we are still not permitted onto the 31 at present, despite all having completed a very inte...

Re: Steam RAT
Hi Jon, to answer your second question, the class 25s with revised bodywork had a boiler filler on the bodyside, behind a hinged door adjacent to the hand holds. These doors were rivetted up or properly plated over, as were the hand holds, in non-boiler-fitted locos. The same hinged door was also us...

Re: BR (W) 1970
Its a good question Jon. The shed was open at the Eastern end. I'll e-mail you a scan of my 1971 trackplan.jbilton wrote: Something I'm not sure of is which way round Long Rock should be ?
That is to say, was the open end facing away or towards Penzance station.
Dave.
