Re: Paddington Worcester Shrub Hill
The ribbons as RS refers to them are the track network splines used to represent the different track pieces [that make up the network in a given route]. I am not positive but the above could be caused by a scenario having a service start or stop at a track piece that is missing or has been replaced ...

Re: Pivoting scenic items & weeds in the track/roads
I think you will find the "lawn" texture with the IOW doesn't have spiky grass sticking up so offers another option for removing procedural grass under roads etc. And (IMHO) the lawn is a nicer shade of green than the default terrain texture! That's a very good point. I wonder if it would be possib...

Re: Pivoting scenic items & weeds in the track/roads
Hmmmmm.... Methinks RSDL should create a Rail Sim version of Agent Orange, and a weed spray train for us to drive around our layouts and routes, to clear the foliage ? You guys are so spoiled! Just look at the railways in Eastern Europe, you'd be lucky to see the tracks hidden among the weeds.. onl...

Wow!! Looks very realistic.
And living in the US I can also say, looks very USA-like
Great work, and yes the RS engine is amazing but so is the content coming out.

Re: Windows 7 Beta testing
Anyone know how much this will costs? - I did hear a while back they where considering releasing it freely and that it would be working from the same core/kernal functions as Linux. I seriously doubt MS would release a product by starting off with a Linux kernel base. For one the GPL requires that ...

Re: KRStool2 Update 444
There is a manual in the works but I've been split between doing it and fixing bugs in the app. Maybe I'll work on it a bit after this headache gives me a break.. UPDATE: The manual is finally up! It's at the main site at http://jkansoft.mine.nu/cgi-bin/jkansoft.cgi?page=7 and should be up on...

Re: Windows 7 Beta testing
I'll wait for a RC version, testing a BETA is nice and fun, but reports of the x86 version shipping with WMP12 that trashes perfectly good mp3 files when you play them doesn't install a lot of confidence. Ouch! :robot: That's not a good thing to hear although doesn't surprise me given that even Vis...

Re: MSTS2 - Will it play the MSTS1 add-ons?
It may not be possible to transfer track layout, signal placements, scenery placement and ground textures over to TS2....although I won't put it past someone trying to create a utility to do so. But, as there are likely to be so many positional problems, I don't think anyone will try. If anyone did...

Re: Finally!! RS DOES run smooth
I see some very powerful hardware being used to run RS around here. Thought I'd mention my configuration because it's pretty dated and yet it does really well for those considering hardware. System: Opteron 180 S939 @ 2.4GHz dual core Geforce 6150/MCP430 motherboard 2 GB PC3200 RAM GeForce 8800 GTS ...

Re: KRStool2 Update 444
Reppo, this is rather intriguing. I see where the problem is occuring and by the looks of it it seems KRStool was able to read your Routes.xml file but not extract any usable route info from it. Would it be possible to either e-mail (at jkxx2 -at- yahoo -dot- com) me that file or post its contents h...

Amazing work there, SAD!
I can't get enough of using your tracks in my routes, they look great. The scenery is top too, many thanks for all the work you have done for RS and it looks like we'll get to see even more
Regards,
jkxx

Re: KRStool2 Update 444
Nope, this looks like an application bug :D What route are you trying to load? Would it be possible for me to get it and test it out here? (This would help immensely with debugging). I have already fixed a couple of bugs that are known to be in 445 so this could be related to one of them. Greets, jkxx

Re: Mk3 upgrade wishes
Just my own rants to add to the list: 1. Please, please, fix the dispatcher. Building scenarios where trains cross paths is either a nightmare or next to impossible and something should be done about it. This is the only issue that seriously detracts from my ability to enjoy RS. 2. Increase the 2km ...
