Re: New Route Announcement from RSC: Settle to Carlisle

An interesting couple of official pictures appeared today, featuring a 37 in fully-branded EWS livery. Have DB granted RSC permission to use their logos? Also of interest is that the EWS livery, with dyanmic numbers, is by none other than David Hossack. It's a nice move if he is now providing RSC wi...

Re: Resitance is Futile [ECML by Night]

May I recommend turning off procedural fauna in your graphics options. It would get rid of all those weeds in the four foot.

Re: "Railworks just got serious" - New ECML route?

Anyone creating scenarios yet? Are you having any difficulties at the junction where the Skegness line connects? I'm trying to get a southbound freight to follow an ex-Skegness service towards Grantham, but the signal protecting the junction won't clear. I've also noticed that on the northbound line...

Re: "Railworks just got serious" - New ECML route?

But they do stop abruptly in real life... :-? Or are you saying that on your system, as you approach them they go from zero to full as you approach? Yes, that is what I meant. Not quite zero to full, but from zero, to audible, then loud as you pass the crossing, then quieter again, then nothing. Ma...

Re: "Railworks just got serious" - New ECML route?

For once I can actually run everything at it's highest with TSX on and get a dam good frame rate! finally get to make the most of what TSX does to the sim for once. downsides.. got a bit boring quite quickly doing a simple HST run from start t...

Re: "Railworks just got serious" - New ECML route?

And what about the cab sway, is it too much (like NEC) or about right (like WCML)? I haven't driven the NEC route so can't compare, but the cab sway is very noticeable. I don't know how accurate it is, but it feels a smidgen excessive. I think it should be a bit smoother, with the roughest bits res...

Re: "Railworks just got serious" - New ECML route?

Just arrived at Grantham. As soon as I left Peterborough my frame rates picked up and were 30+ in the open countryside until Grantham. The route so far is very nice indeed. A world away from CCFE, but you can see a good deal of work has gone into making this route just as accurate. Very happy so far...

Re: New Route Announcement from RSC: Settle to Carlisle

Like many other people both here and on Facebook, I was surprised to read that the upcoming new route is the S&C, but it was a welcome surprise. I really do hope that Settle to Carlisle is just the route name though, and that the southern end at least extends as far as Hellifield to provide a believ...

Re: GEML & East Anglia

Not only is the route outstanding, but that's a very nicely crafted video. The only disappointment was that you didn't show any shots of Norwich station. :P

Still, everything else looks excellent. I look forward to driving and writing scenarios.
