Thanks for all the helpful replies.I'd like to get all of them eventually, but for now, just one.I settled on and have just ordered West Somerset.I'd still like to get SVR but the framerate issue puts me off.Even though I have a fairly high end PC I have my settings high and antialising and antistropi...

Which payware route?
I'm going to order some of the great freeware routes available on CD and while I'm at it I want to treat myself to one of the payware routes. The routes that appeal to me are....Severn Valley....Swanage....Nene Valley...Cambrian Coast....West Somerset. All of these will have been used by the communit...

A great little route.
Most of you probably already have this route, but for those who don't I highly recommend giving it a try.I have Ron (moofy chops ) to thank for putting me on to it 18 months ago and I still use it regularly. It's perfect for people on dial up because it's only a 7mb download and turns into a 167mb ro...

There are command-line switches in the game... ...Train Simulator\train.exe /fsaa /anisotropic ...but these will only set each to 2x strength respectiviely (I use 6x FSAA and 16x AF). The best way is to forget about those switches and force anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering with the video car...

Huge Graphics improvement with strange side effects.
I've always been happy with my graphics in MSTS except for the jagged lines, particularly on the rails when viewed from different angles. Because there is no ingame control for antialiasing and antostropic,at least none that I'm aware of and because Flightsim for some reason won't start unless these ...

Just copy the MSTS folder and keep it somewhere safe. Or if you want to be slightly more carefull about it and safe a bit of space and maybe time. Copy the trains and route folders and the tsection.dat file. Thats probably enough to let you revert back what ever you have broken. I checked in my Xtr...

Wupper Express 8
I can't get over just how good this route is,it's completely transformed my trainsimming experience. What I can't understand is that although this route has 2 or even 3 times as much scenery and detail as any of my other Routes,21 of them, the Framerates are so much better and the stuttering is almost...

All fixed
Thanks to everyone for there help.I've just had a 10 month lay off from Trainsim and had forgotten most of what I had learnt. It's great to see that this forum is still alive and well with many of the old and helpful members still around. Terry

Hallo! No, it's only the link to one special loco. To find the correct engine just go to Thomas Pilders website http://www.thopil.de/ On top of the site you'll find a special link "Hier geht's zum Download der 110 für das WupperExpress-8-Aufgabenpaket!" Among the various class 110 locos the engine...

It's Ok.
It's ok now.I should have tried a bit harder before shouting for help.I was'nt setting the Explore mode paths correctly,I've sorted this and if I load a route that does have activities in addition to one that does'nt.Then everything works. Terry Thanks Tony for Trainstore,if ever there was a 'must h...

I've missed something in Trainstore
Two of my routes Antwerpen Brussel and Wupper Express 8 don't have any activities yet but worked without any problems in Explore Mode. I've just installed Trainstore and have noticed big improvements in loading times and also some improvements in performance. However, despite reading the documentation...
