I came in on the 11:13 from Paris into St. Pancras yesterday.
Shame we were held outside for 2 minutes and ended up being late.

Re: BBC1 Weds 10.45pm Grand Central programe
When they all went to the meeting in York, I'm sure one of the members there was Phil Gartside (Bolton FC chairman) if it wasn't, then it's one heck of a double twin he has there :o It's Gartside. Based on the job he was doing at Bolton until he blew it with Allardyce, I rated him as a Chairman. It...

Re: St Pancras International
From the photos and what i have seen through the netting from the MML side the platforms look pretty much standard UK height. As for my comments, i wasnt suggeusting SWT were taking over as of the 14th, i had assumed most people here would realise that was NEVER going to happen, as the station will...

Re: St Pancras International
I didn't know they were boarding up Waterloo, which, makes quite a lot of sense. As someone with a lot of Eurostar connections, I wish them the very best next week and I will be going out of Waterloo on one of the last services on the 13th. I will also be going into St. Pancras the following morning...

If that's the case, then there might be one at St. Pancras.

Re: St Pancras International
have to say that i'm looking forward to it as well: No more morons getting in my way when I'm trying to get from my train to the bus at Waterloo in the mornings. In some ways I am looking forward to it because HS1 is an exciting project and I love the refurbished St. Panceas, but having built up an...

Re: St Pancras International
I'm going on one of the first Eurostars from Paris to St. Pancras; I am travelling out of Waterloo on the final day of Eurostar services from there and coming back to St. Pancras the following day.

Re: Dorset Coast V5
what would the normal route have been for Pompey services? Dave, They would've gone from Reading via Guildford down to Havant. The usual stopping patterns were, from Reading: Via Guildord: Guildford, Haselmere, Havant, Fratton, Portsmouth & Southsea, Portsmouth Harbour. Via Fareham: Fareham, Fratto...

Re: Dorset Coast V5
Did VXC voyagers ever get to Portsmouth or had the XC services been withdrawn by then? From memory Portsmouth was removed from the XC network the same time Poole was. Last workings at Poole were still 47 hauled. Ironically a Voygaer is booked ECS through Poole to the sidings every Sunday afternoon ...
