Re: WIP Thread 8 - Anything New For RailWorks

A couple more departmental wagons in progress at the Donkeyworks. Firstly, the Turbot bogie ballast wagon with a choice of sleepers or ballast load. [album 116277 turbot.jpg] and then the solid sided derivative of the turbot, the Heron (strange name for a Fishkind wagon). Again with a choice of load...

Re: Smokebox numberplate child object creation.

Search for Traindecal with RSDerek as the author and you'll see a couple of threads describing how to use this shader. The use of primarydigits is reasonably well described in section 6.5 of the RW manual. I don't personally know if using this on a child object will pick up the loco number, perhaps ...

Would something like this be acceptable?

Re: Ways to slim down the Kuju file?

There are probably better ways, but this is how I did it. Rename the Kuju railvehicle folders and back them up somewhere. Do a verify cache so that the folders are replaced by Steam with just the default assets. Use RWTools to list all the rolling stock needed by your scenarios. The list is very lon...

Re: WIP Thread 8 - Anything New For RailWorks

Those Sharks looks great, Phil. What do the three colours signify? Going purely on memory, I don't recall seeing any other colour than bauxite on the ex-Midland Erewash Valley line in the 1950s/60s but, as that's 50 years ago, I really couldn't be sure. Keith I'm no expert, but I believe they origi...

Re: Train Simulator 2014 - 26th September

To my mind, the single biggest improvement they could make is to get rid of the 8m terrain grid minimum.

I think you have nicely captured that hemmed in feel of a NG railway, which is difficult to do with the TS2013 8m grid.

Re: Train Simulator 2013 80% Off

So, let me check I understand this correctly.... For £6.99 I can get three routes I don't currently have!!!? (Haven't previously bought L2B because of cost) Indeed you can. I upgraded from TS2012 - will this purchase mess up my current install? TIA Steam will just report that you already have some ...
