Hi, if anyone is interested, I have a Virgin Value ticket for sale for travel tomorrow (19/7/05) from Birmingham New Street to Taunton on the 13.42 service. It's a 7-day advanced ticket bought with a Young Person's Railcard, valued at £13.85, but I'm happy to accept £10 for it. Please note: You mu...

barnt green station (the non-electrified side)
is this part of the station ever used by any trains? the non-electrified line down to cheltenham splits off from the brum-redditch electrified line just before the station. the only services i can think of that use the n-e part are the hereford or cardiff central trains, but non of these seem to sto...

might sound like a stupid question but would running the HSTs at 25mph damage them in any way? i know it would be pointless as they were designed for 125mph! also, can these HST sets or indeed any unwanted locos/stock that are in storage and/or awaiting disposal be bought by members of the public? i...

voyager movements
does anyone know anything about what's usually a 4-car voyager unit heading southwest from BNS each weekday night? It passes Longbridge station at about 22:15. Just wondered if it's an ECS movement because the last train towards Bristol is 21:42 so I doubt it's that service that I see! Where does th...

btw I still think something isnt quite right with these sites, I'm trying to get a ticket from BNS to Tiverton Parkway this Friday and being the cheapskate that I am, always try and go for the Virgin Value fares, but there's been none available for a couple of weeks now and usually even the 3-day ad...

Screeny on #'Making-Tracks' website
Hi, has anyone been onto the making tracks website recently and taken a look at the official gallery screenshots? There is one there (i think its shot no. 27/31), a picture of what appears to be a SWT depot, with a Class 159, the new desiro 444s and 450s, and a class 442 wessex. AMAZING pictures! Do...

A mysterious day (well, for me anyway)
I travelled on the 10.40 Central Trains service from BNS to Wolverhampton today, and for some reason we left BNS from the 'a' section of the platform, in the wrong direction (i.e. towards Coventry/Derby). Then we passed through Duddeston, Aston, Witton and Perry Barr before going left just after Per...
