I couldn't believe the first one. I was in the stores getting some bits, when the cleaner supervisor yelled over the tannoy for any fitters to go to the office for a phone call. South Central maintenance

South Central's maintenance standards came to light big time today, thye had 2 massive failures within miles of each other! About 09:00 this morning, the driver of a Victoria to Portsmouth service made an unscheduled stop at Fishbourne after feeling something wasn't right with the unit. Closer inspe...

I heard a story awhile ago about drunken yobs smashed up some signalling equipment on a platform, and buggered the signalling for weeks!

Now to complete Jim Bob's rise to super know it all, he'll explain the special procedure for placing track circuiting clips on 3 rd electrified lines :lol: :wink:

Central trains... blah blah blah....
So why have we got a photo of a 421 South Central unit after its muraled?
Should see some of the photos at work, whole 4 car units completely repainted top to bottom end to end

I agree {again? i must be feeling ill :lol: }
I've always said train failures would make sim sig almost complete for me. The other thing would be better communication options between the signalman and people like shunters and drivers.

I do like the pcrail heritage box series though

It can easily haul a 442, just drop the couplings and use the screw coupler. It can also haul a 455 or 458 using a extremely simple adaptor.
It can also have an adaptor fitted to haul 450's and 444's

A couple of units look likely to go to Gatwick express. It only takes a couple of changes to turn them into 460's.
Nobody else wants them, so they will go into storage in case of an emergency shortage

I recommend Fratton station, 24 hours a day, for the next 14 days, as at some point during this time, all the BEPS from Bournemouth will be shunted into Fratton old yard, for scrapping, 1544 will be made ready to go to Chart Leacon as a tractor unit, 2325 will be taken away by lorry to its new home ...
