Great, Like that Loco, my fav LNER type, but I think Bury has a few too many LNER locos in operation and not enough LMS at the moment.

Yep I'll make a Santa train from the Steam and Diesel Point of view, just the parts where you are powering that is and not trailing at the back, a real heavy slog up to Ramsbottom it'll be and then a gentle glide down back to Bury with the Diesel. Going to Ramsbottom on Saturday, aanyone know whats ...

I've also been working on a 15inch guage route. It uses 1/2size GWR locos (Robin Howell's) rescaled and coaches from the SWLR truscale in a x2 scale Lakeside environment, possibly in N Wales and the same line has a 2FT guage museum and the trains run alongside each other to compare size. Love to see...

Best idea Chris, besides in a diesel activity a break moving onto the next is the best idea, as in a real life situation you are bound to change cabs at the end of the journey and nip for a drink aren't you?

I'd forget the Ramsbottom Triangle, it won't look right and that would be over the river irwell anyhow, perhaps its just me wanting true to life realism, i suppose there's no harm in fantasy, but Castleton looks good and pretty true to life.

Yes extend to Swansea and in a 2 part activity, you can run to Camarthen on the Swansea route. There would also be plenty of expansion opportunities up the Welsh Valleys, but the name Central England may have to be changed!

Anyone considered a steam age South Wales valley line? Short, Narrow, steep gradients, looks of long coals trains, collery sidings, may be a small stretch of mainline. We already have the 42xx tank, and maybe some kind soul would produce a 56xx to run on it too. Just a thought Now thats a route I'd...
