Thanks, Derek, it looks fantastic!
Also, I too would be interested in knowing about getting the US content for Rail Simulator.

Rick Selby's profile photo
Hi Rick.
Just wondering if it would be possible to see a larger image of your profile photo so we can see you more clearly? And if so, any chance of seeing the rest of the development team too?

Re: Adding AI Trains Step by Step
Why does it take practially 50 steps to add an AI train to a route?!? That's crazy!

Re: First commercial Rail Sim addons abandoned
Thanks for posting that, James. It's very interesting to read and I hope the Rail Simulator team have seen this. I also think that the reference to lights is headlights, obviously they wanted to create night missions in their addon. Having played night missions in MSTS for years, I can say that nigh...

Re: More New MSTS2 Screen Shots
In all fairness, I don't see the appeal of super elevation at all. If it's not there, I won't miss it. Of course. People, who don't drive trains/with trains, don't miss superelevation. Of course, I myself wouldn't miss correct signalling. Hi Keber. That's not really a fair annalogy. Super El...

I've encountered the stuff floating in the air too. Don't know what to make of it!?! While some of it is buildings, I've also encoutnered small block icons floating in the air!?!?!?! Haven't a clue what these are. I just delete them but it's annoying.

Route and scenario development tools
Hi Rick. Was just wondering if you could, at this early stage, shed some light on the route and scenario development tools that will ship with MSTS 2? I have to say, at the moment, I'm not a fan of Rail Simulators World Editor. I find just connecting two different sections of track together a challe...

Re: More New MSTS2 Screen Shots
Just one thing, mate, this management meeting you're getting ready for, Anyone involved in software development in the real world will recognise that this "meeting" is more than likely a Project Review meeting, where the project team get the chance to involve the stakeholders in one of a series of ...

Re: More New MSTS2 Screen Shots
Hi Rick. Just to say I really do like what I'm seeing here. The level of detail is amazing and the sim really does look the part! I like what you said about the AI being good enough to create and dispatch trains to give the world a real living feel. That's one thing I miss in all train sims to date,...

Yes, nice to see the new site up. That green light on the old site, waiting for the New Train to come, was driving me nuts! LOL!

Re: Dev Tools due on 12 Nov
I have to say, I'm a bit concerned about what shape these Development Tools will take on?!? The Rail Sim team in their new news statement have said that these are for experts to use. Well, I'm thinking of MSTS 1. All the tutorials I read, the MSTS book I bought, the requests to train sim forums for ...
