Hi.
I can only go by what I saw in the news report. Thanks for the clarification.

Hi Stonelance.stonelance wrote:P.S. You still require Vista to run games using D3D10.
Don't know if you can answer this now, still being early in the development of MSTS 2, but what will the differences be between the Direct X 9 Windows XP version and the Direct X 10 Windows Vista version?

Re: MSTS 2 announced under "Games For Windows"
Thanks, CaptainScarlet. Well I guess that puts the debate to bed. Now I'm like you, wondering what the system specs are to run it. I must go check out the system specs for MS Flight Sim X (I don't have it as I'm not really a flight sim fan).

Re: MSTS 2 announced under "Games For Windows"
I'm a bit confused by recent posts here. I don't see where Rick has said MSTS 2 will run on XP. I do recall him saying it was a Vista title, so can we get this clarified before a lot of XP users fall fowl and invest in MSTS 2 expecting it to run on XP and then find it doesn't. For the record, I've o...

MSTS 2 announced under "Games For Windows"

This is the first time I've seen MSTS 2 announced outside of the train sim community. A number of a new titles for the Games For Windows range have been announced and MSTS 2 is in the list. Good to see it.

Re: please save this forum!
I agree, news can't be posted when there is no news to give and I'm sure the MSTS 2 team are under NDA's and can't just go posting left, right and centre. I do wish there was more buzz on this forum alright, but from what I've seen of MSTS 2 I believe it's going to rock!

Re: It's Christmas time. Do we get a prezzie?
I sense a website update is in the offing!!!! The other day, the "More Details" link on the MSTS2 page pointed to a "local" drive. It's reverted back to the correct page now, but now the Details page has lost its scrollability. Someone's fiddling!!!!    ...Or the server is fail...

Auran shuts up shop
Auran, developers of the Trainz series, seem to have closed up shop for good. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=177543&site=cvg I was a long time Trainz fan and while I don't use Trainz any more, it's sad to see them go. Their Surveyor was, without a doubt, the best and easiest to ...

Damn! I hope they release a PC version. I'm not going to invest in a console for just one game.

I don't remember seeing a demo of Microsoft Train Simulator 1 so don't know if we'll get one for MSTS 2.

Re: Ghost Train
Hiya, Trains, portals and intermittant collisions are certainly an area we have been working on. So far things have been running much better with a few of the changes we have made. Everyone will see improvements with the up coming patch. Thanks for the update, Adam. Got a release date for the patch...
