BR Anecdote
Picture a commuter train at London Bridge in the mid 70s. 12-car, CEP-BIG-CIG LB-Brighton semi-fast peak hour train. Absolutely packed to the gunwhales with passengers, both seated and standing, as one of the previous services had been cancelled due to failed stock. About two minutes after scheduled...

They have a larger ...

also why did some southern trains always have bars on the windows even the 1900's ones The Overhead electrics on the routes via Crystal Palace had bars on the window droplights because they were LBSC stock which was slightly wider than normal (although still within loading gauge) and the Crystal Pa...

If by the phrase 'BR Blue' you mean the years that the railway vehicles in this country were painted all-blue or blue/grey, then definitely I miss it. It may not have meant much more than a change in coat of paint elsewhere, but in the Southern Region it was a period of great change. Old Southern Ra...

Spot the sweeping generalisations. Subs, Bils and Hals survived into the blue era. So did the CORs - they ran the Coastway services (both east and west) out of Brighton. They were replaced by HAPs diaplaced from suburban services when the later VEPs and 508s were introduced. A few years later the H...

I know these :: HAL = BIL = "Both Including Lavatory" i.e both non-corridor coaches had a bog and thus were suitable for longer distance stopping services. [/size][/b] BIL = Bi-Lavatory HAL = Half-Lavatory - only the trailer composite had a lavvy VEP = Not sure - I think it's Vestibuled EP or a sub...

I'd fancy a 4LAV and a Brighton Belle set, oh yeah and 5PUL & 5PAN units too. The PUL and PAN sets were 6 cars, the Belle sets were 5. This would make an interesting era to set L2B operations in... The 5 Bel should be easy to do as there are some Pullman carriages on the downloads page. All would n...

Re: The 8VAB
Dale the 4th car in the set should be another MBSO, arranged with the seating end next to the buffet car. The first few seating bays had the doors locked and tables installed and the seating set up for 2+1 dining.

Well I must confess to being quite disappointed with London-Brighton. The rolling stock and stations are first class but beyond the stations, scenery is virtually non-existent. There's just a 25 yard strip, generally with just a few trees, either side of the tracks and beyond that is a featureless ...

First Impressions
I posted this on the Europeanbahn forum, but as this is an established thread I'll cross-post here... WOW!!! Most impressed with all the effort the dev team have gone into to produce this product. As they have said, it is not inch perfect, and I don't think there is any way anyone could expect it to...
