coasting sounds
It's great to hear I'm not alone! I have looked at the sms file for correcting flying scotsman and note that it looks almost exactly the same as the files used by BATs, so it seems logical that if the BATS locos still chuff when coasting, then the updated file won't work either. Thanks for the helpful replies. When coasting I have both the background stock sounds and the locmotive "chuf" both of which change correctly with speed. I have installed the Severn Valley upgrade and am generally using one of these locomotives or one of the other BATS locos. The sounds I am getting...

steam loco sounds - cruising
I have just tydied up my system by re-installing MSTS. Everything works OK except that now the steam locos do not return to cruising sounds when the regulator is closed. I am sure they did beforehand!
Is this a fault or had I installed something before that made the change? Can anyone help?
